Still think he’d have done a job for us this season

I was back up for family festivities and I saw him on Christmas eve in Altrincham. It was one of those awkward moments in which you find yourself just staring at somebody, in awe at thoughts of his Leeds goal and all that (2002 triple assault season....not his PL own goal)

But anyway, he appeared in cracking shape. He's no different physique wise to what he was 10 years ago. He's definitely got a couple more years in him at EFL level.

Seen him in Fulwood/Crosspool a few times recently. He does still look athletic but he has lost the pace that helped make him a quality player. I don’t think he makes the first team of a top Championship team these days but he is still good cover. I think he’ll move into coaching next season.

He probably isn't in the Championship best XI, but he's done a cracking job for Derby County and can still do a job for Stoke. Give me him over Robinson any day of the week....

Hard to believe it's been nearly 20 years since his goal at the dirties.

Even harder to believe he's still playing decent level football in 2022.
