Fuck Chris wilder

Most been the key word

If you've got 14 fist team and u23's players CW play the game

Though its not out of character for CW to run from a challenge
To be fair, I don’t fancy getting fisted by 14 players, even if they are the u23s 😳

Agree that this would be more disadvantages to Boro at present as they are on a real roll.

All these postponed games could be a real leveller for teams with injury problems. Crikey - Jack O'Connell will be back at this rate.

All the postponements may only store up problems however.
Regarding JOC it's a case of many a true word spoken in jest there mate

Lets not get our hopes up too much. Everton were told to play and then it was rescinded later in the day when more results came in. It seems they have enough players to put a team out at the moment plus he's getting 4 loanees back. May have helped if he didn't let one of his goalkeepers out on loan.

Just wondering…….if you were a player
would you want to play another team that has Covid in it’s ranks or have the game rearranged?.
I doubt many players are worried about catching Covid, plus they're just as likely to catch it elsewhere than on the pitch outside.

Is there any way we can force them to play?

This is seriously taking the piss now!!

There should be a clear cut off where the game goes ahead or does not. Tests have surely been done this morning and results will be known. So its on or off.

If the EFL ARE allowing more tests then they have created another loophole after saying they would not postpone on the day of a game...however it will be less than 24 hours and the night before is not much better really for an early kick off.

Total farce.

We all know the game is going to be off (whatever people think of rights and wrongs) so just postpone it now, why delay things?

Not seen one game where a reporter with credence has said it might be off and then it has been made to go ahead. If Boro or another side just said we're not playing, not even sure the EFL would bother putting up a fight. They'd just fold and say OK. They've set a precedent and now can't go back. It should never have been about squad sizes or injuries on top of covid.

I'm not disagreeing with anything you're saying but if the EFL are trying to make sure, rather than take Boro's word for it based on LFTs then surely that's a good thing?

Controversial opinion: MGW isn't good enough for mid-table Premier League side Wolves and they'd be daft to recall him.

Foreigner innit. No place for that under Brexit Chris 😉

He can recall whoever he likes but they won't be able to play tomorrow (as far as I'm aware).

May have recalled them yesterday?

Do I leave a on a 4 hour journey and in the hope that the match may be on have booked to stay in Sheffield do I cancel stay at home decisions decisions
No thought for the fans at all
Its a joke that they are leaving us in this position.

Good luck with your choice pal. Let's hope it's on

There should be a clear cut off where the game goes ahead or does not.

It's a sound principle but it wouldn't be enforceable.

Unfortunately with a situation this fluid it's impossible to set deadlines without getting into a very subjective debate about risk and severity.

10 Blades could wake up showing symptoms tomorrow, take a test for personal reasons and all come up positive. The club are made aware...then what? Do we still want it on?

You’re far too sensible. What doing on here?

I firmly blame the EFL and all the risk-averse machinery for this festival of shite.

We all want the game to go ahead we're all skeptical of the situation, but it's not Squad Game.

That skepticism isn't a reason to throw caution to the wind.

As happy as I am that we won't get yet another game called off (so far) I do wonder how this is different from the QPR, Hull and Preston games.

If the EFL are now making different decision, or have changed the decision making process, then they need to be open about it.

We’ll done to the EFL for standing there ground

I don’t blame wilder one bit but this is the situation we are in it’s shit for everyone and can and probably will happen too us

However it’s a massive advantage to us tommorow if it’s played in what is a huge game
I don’t see how we don’t win if we’re playing against the reserves

Why are they waiting?

Either they have enough or they don't? Surely testing more will just see Boro saying they have more positives. Clear they played the other night with a number positive but just had tested previous day/earlier that day. It just depends when you test of course.

The whole system is deeply flawed. They said they wanted to remove uncertainty but testing more on the evening before a lunchtime kick off is absurd and not much better than it was before with the Blackburn situation at Hull. Either way, say its on now or it's not. The messing about every week is not fair on fans/people who travel/work for the club and why they'll change it in a few weeks and make teams play no matter what and we will suffer.

Like lockdown football I'm rapidly losing interest in this current shambles. You can't plan anything as a fan.

There is an argument now maybe that they should have just shut all games down for 2 weeks and then just say from January everyone plays no matter what. Not sure that would have worked but current system is unsustainable but if EFL change it and make teams play then they will face legal challenges all over.

Teams know now they can postpone ganes with little scrutiny seemingly and as the season goes on the manipulation as promotion/relegation threatened sides will make this seem trivial. The notion that it will all be gone by April or lessened May hold true but unlikely and even if it does there is nothing to stop teams still asking for postponements to suit situations (injuries before a big promotion game). The EFL cannot say you must play as clubs will point to what is happening currently.
That’s why they’ll be testing game still on boro want it off and some more positive results Will swing it which they will almost certainly get if it’s as rampant in the building as they’re saying
