I recall quite a few on here saying scrap the first team and play youth coz they can't be any worse now it looks like we'll be doing just that the same posters are kicking off.

I think Hecky will have his own ideas, but I foresee a more gradual integration of the young talent at his disposal.
Senior players like Sharp, Didzy and Bash will all have a role to play in this, probably as mentors to the inexperienced hopefuls.
I suspect most current loans will be allowed to run there course, because Hecky has to build trust and respect with other clubs and managers.
He won’t be shy in an emergency if he needs a player to fill an obvious gap though.

I wouldn't mind a few youth players given a chance. I mean if Davies gets injured for example I'd rather see Gordon play than Robinson.

Not saying that the 'strategic plan' is fool proof, but on the good enough bit...
Not necessarily, if you are aiming/needing success, or more likely not to see youth given a chance. The early Wilder years as an example.

To be fair if come January we've N'diaye, Jebbison, RND, possibly Slater (maybe Lopata & Brunt?) in and around the first team we are doing fairly well in terms of youth progression.

Don't think anyone is expecting more than that? Nor is it about these players nailing down starting roles, bit supplementing the squad and also raising funds through sales.

The number of times I've seen other teams in this Division slice through our midfield as if it wasn't there and score from an unmarked position in our area when the "defence" were AWAL ...... I don't think that some of the U23s could do worse tbh

How do you equate majority of blades first team live in mansions in and around Dore, Fullwood Ecclesall and if they ever lived in a less
blessed area of Sheffield somehow didnt stay there very long when they made some money.
