MANAGER SACKED

It's my Birthday today (you can wish me happy birthday and apologies privately later). Please don't be so unkind. This is untrue.

You think the Prince wanted us doing a 'Slav In or Slav Out' video? He doesn't dictate anything we do, we have called him and club out on numerous decisions and will continue to do so, starting with this one!
Don’t get drawn in mate. Just keep doing what you’re doing, decent fans appreciate it.

According to James Shield STAR Sheffield United will officially announce they have parted company with Slavisa Jokanovic later today, with Paul Heckingbottom beating former Preston North End chief Alex Neil to role

Supported Prince as I believed he would back next manager with funds. Now this. Losing the faith...

Some amount of wanking off a fucking podcaster off going on here.

Here York, take your fucking hair dye and annoying smug look and fuck off with the Prince.
You seriously have a bad case of tall poppy syndrome. YorkBlade is passionate podcaster and many on here enjoy what Sheff Utd Way produce.

If you can't understand that journalists have sources and those sources sometimes speak on the condition that information doesn't get out then you really need to address your naivety. Sheff Utd Way has become one of the more popular podcasts around so it's no surprise they've found themselves inside some of those circles I just mentioned. Stop criticising thinking everything is some conspiracy.

There is no point these days in doing well because there's always someone like yourself aimlessly throwing around unsubstantiated claims. I'm glad you're not a journalist or even a podcaster for that matter. Deary me.

Wow although I'm shocked and thought he would at least get a transfer window before any decision was made, maybe 2 wingers and a midfielder and not much change from 10m,i really cannot see that working and making any change, the football is dire the players look like there fed up as well as the fans. Could possibly be the right choice for slav and not necessarily a cheap option with a payout. My thoughts are we have someone lined up.
Hecky?

He doesn't seem happy, and it's not really working, so I'm not entirely surprised but I'm sad to see him go.

He was the best appointment we could've made, but only if you're going to fully buy into to Slav. The club didn't financially, the players haven't on the pitch.

Really are in a mess now. Will be interesting to hear the board's reasons for this one.

New manager wise, if we've got nowt then who's coming?

Farke is the only one really who's achieved what we want with not a lot, but he had Stuart Webber pulling mid to top end Championship players out of obscurity.

Apart from Warnock...

club is a mess & has been since we finished 9th they are absolute idiots, who wouldnt know how run a bath nevermind a football club. it was horrendous summed up by the rumour that we tried to buy Wilson, but when it came to it he wouldve been on less a week than he wouldve if he stayed at relegated bournemouth. & then this year we did all our business in the final 48hrs in august wondered why we had issues in signing players

thats a 2 great managers gone in the same calendar year. we can all see that this team needs major surgery but of course we are going to back the players that have let us down for 14 months & not the manager that could get us out of it. its absolute disaster

Like I say he’s a club podcast now, being told things by the club and he doesn’t want to burn bridges as he’s so far up their arse it’s unreal. Ah well at least he will get another interview with the Prince at some point, pathetic.

Oh mate, you're genuinely embarrassing yourself here... enjoying laughing at you though.

A bitter blow to the "United have been secretly brilliant this season, you're all just idiots" crowd, or maybe not since they can't now be proved wrong.

So this has been happening for a while and nothing to do with a meeting this morning?

You clearly know what is going on, is there any reason you are not saying? Your just a fan with a podcast so can’t see why as a fan you wouldn’t tell other fans. Or is it a case of you don’t want to burn bridges with the owner and are up his arsehole so you are now a club podcast instead of a fans podcast.
Man protects source to ensure he retains access to future information

Calm down, it's not like YorkBlade is running Pravda ffs

My be the players wanted him out ? good manager just not the right fit for united .God please not hecky

Yes the start to the season is not what we wanted but the baggage and hangover from last season is still there. Yes, I haven't been overly impressed with some of his decision making but I would still have given him the season. Shocking stuff and to me smacks of Slav saying I need money in January and the two bob Prince saying, you have to sell to loan players in. Imagine the position we will be in next year when Olsen, Davies, Hourihane and Gibbs-White have gone back to parent clubs.

The Prince has obviously lied to Slav to get him through the door. He must have promised him money and then broken that promise…..sounds familiar that one.

Fact is, he’s only sanctioned loan players when we clearly needed improvement in the squad. I highly doubt Slav would have taken the job if he knew this was going to be the case.

For me, this is less about whether the sacking is right or wrong but about the evidence that points to the Prince having a track record of bullshitting managers and probably the fans and media too.

This is what I was suspicious of when we first appointed him when it was stated we were only going to be signing loans. It made me think would a manager like SJ agree to this strategy in the first place? Probably not and now we've seen the outcome less than 5 months into his reign.

Believe me I am not a Prince fan. team McCabe but everyone knew better.

However we are where we are and the squad we have in the building is what we have and proabbly will be it, no new arrivals and a few leaving. I want a man who can work with what he has, not what he is promised.

Hmm I kind of agree but at the same time I think the sacking smacks of short-termisim. We’re definitely going to be more limited to which managers are going to want it now, anyone who wants to make big changes to our playing style and playing staff to improve us for the long-term, wont touch us with a barge pole now.

That leaves you with a shorter list of managers who are renowned for pulling a squad together out of a rut and getting a few wins together, but that for me isnt always a success long-term. I certainly dont think we’re in a crisis that would warrant that type of manager. As shite as it’s been we’re still only 6 points off the play-offs.

Very reminiscent of the year we went down this. Blackwell was shit and it was a pain in the arse to watch but he probably wouldnt have taken us down. Sacking a manager with a team in transition probably isnt the best idea.

Rare the club can find ways to shock me these days…but here we fucking are again.

Thought we’d finally broken the mould of appointing another upandattem manager with something genuinely different and promising. It would have taken time to get where we wanted to be but it would’ve set us up for future success IMO. Now we’re back to square one and likely to appoint some uninspiring nomark like Heckingbottom or Alex fucking Neil. To me it all points to us trying to get by on the cheap again.

The banter years are truly back at S2.
