MANAGER SACKED

Any one of:

Lowe, Warnock, Billy Sharp, Hecky, Ainsworth, Warne.

Someone cheap and desperate to manage at a bigger club than they're at now basically.

Give them no money and we'll be in League 1 and breaching FFP before we know it, can't wait.
Unless yes man Van Winckel is nailed on.

Anyone who thinks Slab deserves the sack has got their head on upside down.

What exactly did the Prince expect when he’s only sanctioned loan signings? Absolutely bonkers.

For me this will turn the tide against the Prince. Was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt if he backed Slav in January but this is bonkers. Paying up a manager when we’re struggling for transfer funds as it is.

Bloke is a crackpot.

Not unhappy with this.
He'd had to revert to previous formation just to get results and obviously wouldn't be getting enough funds to completely change the squad to suit his preferred formation.
Hardly a basis for a long term strategy.
Found him uninspiring and almost unintelligible, unfortunately.
Ironic that it followed a win at last, but that seems to be a growing fashion.
Better now than later down the line.

Maybe it will show us what the Prince is made of?. Has he got someone lined up?, was it his decision?, is there money available for the next manager? . Or was it a shock and he's up Shit Creek?.

This would only make a little bit of sense if we had a legitimate, high-caliber replacement in place almost immediately, but when the likes of Warnock and Alex Neil are being mooted as possibles I can't help but think this is a bad bad move.

Not to say that I've been happy with the season so far, but if they thought SJ would turn us from Premier League no hopers to Championship winners with zero investment I can only suggest they are barmy.

It's true. Replacement details will follow soon. This was all due to be announced before today, but when it wasn't I admit I was surprised it leaked as it did.

I’m interested to see who the replacement will be. Hopefully it’s not a McCabe / Wilson sceanario and we appoint someone from within the club. If that happens, then I’ll start to question the Princes ability to move the club forwards.

I wonder if they're considering appointing Heckingbottom based on those 3 wins at the end of last season. Would add up with no money in January and potentially using the younger players.
I would prefer this to Warnock, although neither option is palatable.
I'm not surprised the manager has left. It's easier to get rid of him than a dozen underperforming players. Surely this means that we have no money to spend although the timing of the sacking, coming after a win, indicates that it has been in the offing for a while, so maybe we have someone lined up. However, we all thought that in the summer and the manager hunt turned into a farce.

Are we going to get a Prince interview to follow up this departure about how he was right and Slav was wrong?

I mean lets be fair though we are not where we should or expected to be of course. And I do think we should be doing better even if it's just outside the top 6.
However little backing in summer, reckon it's little backing in Jan too. There could well be disagreements between manager and board again and hey presto we've got the same situation again?

Is the replacement sorted/in the works? Or will Hecky be at the wheel while we piss about for a few weeks working out our arses from our elbow?
