City Centre Car Park if you want your car to be there/in a driveable state after the game

Goodison is basically in the middle of a housing estate. Depends where you're coming from but parking at a station a few miles away and getting the train in a couple of stops is always my choice. Tends to be free station parking and will only cost you a couple of quid for your ticket.

Are you seriously advising people the walk to and from Kirkdale Station is less risky than parking in a manned car park in Stanley Park?

It's not nice is it? Have you ever been in one of the pubs pretty close to the ground? Interesting experience. The Oreyt Quiff™ looked well out of place if you get my drift.

But more likely

Just park on any side street, and give a kid a quid to watch your car, give him the keys and catch the train home.

I'd go for Stanley Park, only!

When we parked up there for a game V Liverpool a kid came up with the usual line "quid to watch your car for you mister" my mate confidently said "my cars got all the latest security devices theres no way on earth you can nick it", straight away the little voice came back "oh yeah, does it put itself out when its on fire mister?" pissed myself at the time just because of how fast he'd come back with the line but guess they must have loads of them ready those cheeky chappy scousers

personally in retrospect i would have parked at home and got dead drunk :)

Two Coaches have had their windows smashed as they were going away from the ground after the game, glad to report there were no injuries,

Saw them parked up on the dual carraigeway ,we got back to our car about a mile from the ground and 3 wankers were sat leaning on it. We watched your car for you mate one said to me ,I just said cheers mate and got in and drove off to a volley of abuse. It really is like a war zone around Goodison with the stupid parking restrictions ,I refused to pay the going rate of 8 quid for a car park. Inside wasn't much better...wooden stands ,I thought they were outlawed. We even went for a pint in the Leigh Arms and it justified every stereotype of a scouser ever. I think Liverpool is the last place on earth I would want to live.

Funnily enough it's one of the few places I would consider living outside London or Sheffield. I do agree that I wouldn't want to be anywhere near Goodison. Edge Hill, Toxteth (yes, really, it's got nice bits) or Sefton Park\Lodge Lane though would be decent. It's a great city with loads going on (if you can hack the Scousers ;) ).

I got the usual 'mind your car' when I parked up from 2 lads who must only have been 9 or 10. I ignored them and had (what appeared to be) an egg all over the windscreen when I got back. Thought that was a decent result to be fair.

What is it with the Golden Goal obsession on Merseyside ,bet they still do the pools and spot the ball too.Last night was like a bad english episode of The Wonder years.

They still doing that then? Remember when we played at anfield in the cup semi and several coaches were done over

I parked in the Stanley Park car park. It was £8, but between 4 of us it wasn't bad. I was back on the M62 for 10.20 which surprised me!

We parked just up the road from the Stanley Park car park, in a care home... Normally £8, but £5 due to the lower key fixture :)

Don't know if this will work ,but the exact spot where we parked last night ,beautiful.

any way it was outside the saddle pub on essions road if anyone is cleverer than me.

We parked just down from the ground, outside a chippy on the same road as their main stand. No problems at all. Mind you, we did get the space around lunch time though... ;)

When we caught the bus back from the city centre to Goodison, there was a couple of lads in Blades shirts - actual scousers as it happens - on a bus packed with blue noses but there was ney bother. I have to say that I've felt more uneasy walking around Barnsley before a game than I did in Liverpool. Crap news about the coaches though. Aren't the OB supposed to recky the route on motorcycles just ahead of the convoy?

They are actually building behind the pub now and the road finishes at the lampost. We had no option ,god knows what its like when they have a big crowd in ,my car just fit between the double yellows and the squiggly line. Must admit it was a bit hairy when we got back and were accosted. I drove off sharpish and just pulled out in front everything on the main rd.
