My favourite bit of casual racism yesterday was the bloke shouting ‘dirty gypo’ at Brereton every time he got the ball. He was told to shut up a few times but the coke and booze wouldn’t allow it.

My thoughts exactly. I did not really enjoy it yesterday. Even in dark days of League 1 and even before that, when we were dire in the Championship, it was not like this going away. The trains, the concourses, the behaviour in town centres...the number of idiots watching us has grown. I'm not sure how those decent fans who go every week can put up with it. Yes you can try and avoid them before and after but in the ground you are stuck with them.
I won't be going to many away matches moving forward after yesterday.
Can the club act? I know it is behaviour in other grounds but they need to look at it I feel.

I have stopped going to away matches, other than Reading where we can spread out, because of the behaviour of a minority, but a significant minority. My thoughts exactly. Pretty much my sentiments as well. I find all the beer throwing on the concourse hard to understand. I left about 3 mins before the end as I was wanting to catch the 17.19 train. The whole of the concourse was wet through and I don't think it was the result of water being used trying to mop it up. Do these idiots only throw their beer around at away games? My thoughts exactly. Load of crap he was only on the train 7 minutesTrain back from Leeds to Doncaster was delayed 35 mins whilst a blades fan in his mid 40s was arrested. Sounds like he'd stolen someones handbag or something, all a bit bizzare
Load of crap he was only on the train 7 minutes
He went to the buffet car to get the beers in and came straight back to his seat .
He was arrested and released at 10am today after being told it was a case of mistaken identity
What about the decent owd idiotsIf decent fans don't go all that's left is idiots though.
Few wendy mates say its shocking at their away games for this kind if behaviour with all 17-25 year olds iff their nuts blind drunk. Got a few leeds fans mates aswell they say same thing. Its not just young dickhead blades its the entire fucking football populationThis has been building for about 10 years imo.
Having gone to matches for 40 years there's always been bother to varying degrees, it's nothing new.
What feels different to me though in recent years is the type of behaviour and those perpetrating it.
Most of what I see is young kids who look like they couldn't fight their way out of a wet paper bag but after a bit of Charlie and been surrounded by like minded mates, they're as happy giving grief to their fellow Blades as anyone else.
Too much is done for the benefit of being filmed on a phone and then shared on social media, but the lack of respect for their fellow Blades stands out a mile for me.

In the dark days of league 1 those away days were a right laugh. My thoughts exactly. I did not really enjoy it yesterday. It could have been his own handbag. Was he wearing a rainbow scarf?Train back from Leeds to Doncaster was delayed 35 mins whilst a blades fan in his mid 40s was arrested. Sounds like he'd stolen someones handbag or something, all a bit bizzare

Agree about the safety aspect of seating. Also stops arguments cos in the old days those who wanted to stand and sit were apart. Thats why a mix of terraces and seating works and should never have been changed. It is off-putting and I don't mind a certain amount of boisterousness. Loud atmosphere is good. But throwing beer and acting up to fellow Blades is dickhead behaviour. I was knocked flying into an old guy after Clarke headed in our equaliser at Derby on New Year's Day a few years ago but it sounds worse now. It's worse in all seater stadia than it was on the terraces. Injuries are more likely falling over seats. It's not just the young uns either.
Now we're into the digital era maybe the club could introduce some sort of portal where you can upload videos you've recorded of fans from either side breaking the law and or anti-social behaviour?
I understand that most fans would only be comfortable recording this from a distance though, so that the idiots don't know they're being recorded. Whereas if they're in really close vicinity unless you can handle yourself you're probably not going to record it to save causing more trouble.
I'm not trying to suggest every fan becomes like a vigilante or a grass but if you feel strongly enough about it and think it's not on ruining you're matchday experience, then its there and entirely up to you whether you want to record and send it to the club or not. The drawback is they'll likely be no name to go with their face/s but its still something they can have to go off of and if found then they can be dealt with accordingly i.e. short term/long term/lifetime ban etc for repeat offenders.
We have HD cameras focused on every seat in the ground but I don't know whether this is at every club. Probably not as ours cost around £200k if I remember rightly!
Might be harder in away grounds but if it happens in future try and make a note of where they were sat and report it to Kick It Out. The app is easy to use and the club do take it seriously. Whether people are stood where they’re meant to be at away grounds is harder to judge though I supposeMy favourite bit of casual racism yesterday was the bloke shouting ‘dirty gypo’ at Brereton every time he got the ball. They did at Barnsley but didn’t see anyone pulled. Why not have a drugs dog on the turnstile.......anyone arising suspicion gets searched ...
This will be a deterrent of some kind
There was a sniffer dog on the bramall lane end of the ground when we played Blackpool the other week, lots of people were giving it a wide berth. Why not have a drugs dog on the turnstile.......anyone arising suspicion gets searched ...

I saw a young lad get pulled up. This was just as the game was about to kick off, so maybe less people about made it easier for the dog? They did at Barnsley but didn’t see anyone pulled.

A lad in front of me at Barnsley got pulled up by a dog and lead away by police.
I thought dogs at the football were there to sniff out pyro to be fair.
