the direction of wind has soon changed in the red n white half of the city.
he must be doing summat right.

The signs are good and you can't argue with his record...so far. Well done Danny indeed and long may it continue!

sceptics will no doubt say only two league games in, but 6 points and 2nd round of cup is far better than 1 point and out of the cup.
lets kick on now and keep it up.

Early signs look good for him.

The question is can players stay fit for a change and are we going to avoid a last ditch rush for a load of loan players once the transfer window closes.

I think we will get a good idea of how we stand come September as players still need to be moved on.

Just want to say im very impressed with the start we have made! Dont get to see the blades play mch because i live away but from reading this forum ive seen maquire and collins getting alot of stick. But it looks like they have had a good start to the season! Keep up the good work danny!!

DW that should be,damn phone

How things change for the last two years it's always been give him 10 games time before you judge him.

I think the distinction is there are signs of passing football with pace and purpose, as a pose to the Speed/Robson insipid pushing the ball around slowly.

What more could he have done, unbeaten, not conceded a league goal, yes its early days, but these are good early days. To change around a dressing room that was depressed, relegated into a winning dressing room is not easy, well done DW indeed.

As said above an early start, but I like what Kenny Jackett said after Millwall's win yesterday, i'll judge us after 12 games. I think thats a fair point.

well done danny, its been 2 games, fuck me ! OLDHAM and BRENTFORD !!!!!! yeah well done.
You can only beat the teams you play. Might have escaped your attention, we got relegated from the premier league some time ago, we are a third division side, so consequently we play against other third division sides and they are the very same sides we need to beat to get promoted.

Oldham have lost both games but Brentford were quietly fancied this season. What's surprised me in both games has been the lack of quality in the forwards. Both teams had chances against us but poor finishing and the odd decent Simmo save have meant we've been relatively comfortable in both games. I was also surprised how both teams' collective heads dropped when they went behind.

We'll learn a lot more when we go behind, have to change the defence etc but the signs are certainly good and as DW said post match yesterday, we aren't anywhere near the finished article yet and should only get better.

Yes, great start and better than I expected.

However, the acid test comes when we play some of the more fancied runners. No disrespect to Oldham and Brentford, but I don't expect them to be around the top six.

Furthermore, we have the small hurdle of the end of the month to get past. It is quite conceivable we will be weakened by the loss of one or two players heading out the door. Quinn and Monty spring to mind.

Work in progress.

Hoping for more improvement, when the young uns gel a bit more and confidence increases and also hoping for a bit of luck regards out goings

I've been pleasantly surprised by our lack of batterings so far, the odd forearm smash and cynical flooring at Oldham aside. Teams have tried to play against us, rather than shut up shop and frustrate us into submission. I expected that to happen a bit more regularly early season.

We needed this comparatively simple start (although Brentford will be at least top 10 come May next year). It's early for Danny in that his ideas will only just be getting through to players; especially those not used to such a style of football (e.g. Monty, Collins, Cresswell and the young uns).

We'll get better as the season goes on. If and when Quinny goes will have a massive bearing on how we do. If he goes in the next week or so, then I'll not be disappointed but hopeful we'll replace him. If he goes last minute on TDD, then we're knackered.

Agree with most of the points here and time will tell but 2 wins, 4 goals, none conceeded - I'm pretty happy with that.

Yes dingledog,i agree and understand, and its most important we do win to gain promotion, my point is, people are blowing smoke up d.w arse. Weve won 2 league games, brilliant i agree, but the same people will be calling for his head when or if things take a turn for the worst. What am saying is yes its a great start, but dont start hailing him hero, because it has only been 2 games, reserve judgement for when things get tough, then support him when he needs it. He would tell you that himself.

Couldn't agree more mate, but you initial post didn't read like that to.
