Last night Slav was going ballistic when the midfield and defence kept passing it backwards, he was urging them on, push it forwards, a lot of the time with something opening up further up the field yet we still passed sideways and back.
At least 3 times last night we had the ball in a promising position around their box, only for the ball to end up at Olsen's feet, there is in most of the older players a severe almost pathological fear of missing a forward pass yetquite happy to fail with a 5-10 yard sideways pass or backwards that goes no where or more often to an opposing player.
Osborne has a great engine but is weak and easily muscled off the ball, plus show him inside and he can't use his right foot. Stevens is the same , slightly better defensive but useless if shown inside on his right, as is Fleck, who's ability is waining faster than opposing teams can equalise against us, another long john silver with only one good (marginally) leg.
Hate to say it but Oliver Deadwood is our best midfielder, so god save us.
MGW I don't actually class as a midfielder, because ATM he's one of our best strikers.
The defence looked a little better but Egan seems to be losing his confidence, but relying on the ever useful Bash, cannot be our long term solution.
A lot slagging Brewster but he is, contrary to some belief is trying, just a severe lack of confidence.
We need to try more shots, forward passes and find belief that MGW and Ndaiye seem to have in spades.

It's like re-wind and go! This cycle has to stop.JS must be as frustrated as us.
He will have drawn some conclusions by now surely.
No leaders and continuing to play players who are either out of form or have shot there bolt ! It's not hard to pick them out!
If Wilder is watching our games from afar !he should be embarrassed at the standard the are showing.
He was great at putting average players together to make a team,when it came down to bringing in quality ! he failed miserably, we are now paying the price as these players won't fetch anything like what we paid for them.

Jokanovic should certainly be doing better.

But it’s mainly the players. They are not as good as they were, or in the case of most recent signings were never that good to begin with.

And I’m sorry, but yes, that is exactly what Wilder left us with. It’s a mid table Championship squad. It proved that last season and it’s proving it this season.

then burke and brewster have just been constantly inadequate
when any team has more than half the first team under performimg it's not a great place to be

Last game of that season featured 5 players still at the club today.

Its disingenuous to say that though isn't it, not comparing LFL at all.

Conveniently forgot the omission of Henderson and O'Connell - literally our two best players by some margin.

Without those two we got fucking smashed every week.

Comparing this squad at its peak with now is just pointless. People forget the fact the players are human, and are not able to switch it on at will. You've got to accept that 18 months of getting minced has an effect psychologically and majority of the players will not hit those levels ever again.
