I don’t buy into make-or-break at this early stage, but with most players having had a break, it does feel really important tomorrow. The more optimistic fans have said it’ll take time and it’s coming together. The pessimists have said we’ve only beaten the worst teams and we’re weak in the middle and at the back.

I just feel like a 3-0 win would really send out a strong message in a weak league. A defeat will understandably amplify the shouts of “same old United” and “we’re mid-table at best.”

I’ll be there and I’m just really looking forward to an important league match and an early stage of the season against a good side. And we will win…

Stoke are a decent side so a 3-0 win might be a tad optimistic.
Especially when you factor in we can't keep a clean sheet for toffee, and the fact McBurnie, Brewster and Mousset couldn't hit a barn door at 3 paces, and the fact Sharp recently seems like he's trying to join that little club, 3-0 seems as likely as Hillsborough being asked to host a full England International.
Best we can hope for is a 2-1 win with goals from Egan and Gibbs-White (God help us if he ever got injured).
We will win the possession stats though I'm going for 58% today.

You're wrong. 57%

I think 7 points from the next three games is a realistic aim. Toughest game out of that is today.

Not a prayer

There the kind of club that we don't often beat, even when we're doing well and they're doing badly......like Birmingham.

A combination of power, strength and a bit of footballing ability, against our weak minded, weak willed pricks, with no footballing ability

I can see this not only being a defeat, but a bad one

Life can't be easy for you, you hate everything about Sheffield, the people and our beloved football club.

Have you thought about putting your boots on and showing them how to play? Fuck me mate.. I feel genuinely sorry for you.

Don't think I will be, but will be happy to be wrong

For the record I think we will win but not 3-0. 2-1 seems a good shout.

They have beaten us 3 times in 32 years and we have beaten them 8 in the same period. So once again you are factually incorrect. Our club just happens to be far better than you can ever imagine.

Optimism and reality not your strong suits !!

I'm sure they'll have a long-throw specialist in their squad - if so and he plays, then we're screwed.

It's become more prevalent again in the Championship at least. Noticed last night that both WBA and Birmingham utilised the long throw well. Once derided as a weapon for long ball, kick and rush teams It's still good tool to have for good footballing sides, especially against teams with a soft underbelly at CB like us.

We just lost two away games where we could have, and should have won.

We don’t need 3 defeats on the bounce, so this should, and could be a win for dem Blades!

Im hoping the proper footballing versions of Fleck and Norwood turn up. :)

So looks like will struggle to get down to my points level.. would anyone be kind enough to help me out with a ticket??

Sad to say that this is a pretty accurate assessment (to date) and certainly not welcome to optimists - it would be good for the players to read this post and prove it to be wrong
Big afternoon for us IMO

Stoke are a good side, they beat West Brom comfortably, I’d take a point tbh

Looking at the stats they conceded in the air but they score from headers too.
I'd be tempted to bring Bash AND McBurnie in today. I Dont like Bash in midfield but I haven't seen Guedioura live yet.

We need to take our chances early, I can't see us keeping a clean sheet today so Ndiaye and MGB need to be clinical from the off.

Bookies have us clear favourites for this......COYRAWW!

East away win today, can’t see anything else with our soft as shit midfield, and leaky defence.

It will be a very hard game today!
We're a working progress and will find it hard to compete with the better clubs !
I'm going 1-1 sharp to score, utb
