I still think the club procrastinated too much getting manager in and sorting out squad last season, we knew we were down at xmas and still we were miles behind in our prep for this season. Feels like other relegated clubs were far better prepared than us

I’m not sure,I think there would have been too much pressure for him to keep us up when in fact there was no chance. May have been sacked before season end. Doubt if he could have focused on team building.
Reality is we are stuck with Wilders team for years to come ,cannot afford a complete clear out

Despite my opinions on them its also pretty damning for Brewster and McBurnie that hes not brought them on.

In my opinion on paper we’ve got a really good squad. Slav can’t get the best out of it. Struggled vs every team other than Hull & Peterborough. Not good enough

I agree that he knew the squad he was inheriting… but to class it as a very, very, good squad is a stretch … none of this lot have showed any form for months … even years…

Norwood, Fleck, Baldock, Steven’s, have had 1 maybe two decent games out of the last 30+
