Barnsley fan here.

Appreciate it's a couple of months away and you might not be interested in coming, but the rumour is there will be 2,000 away tickets only for the rest of 2021. Might be a good idea to get your priority points up.

I was looking forward to a sell out South Yorkshire derby an all. It's not a derby I know but you get my point.

Why are away tickets being limited when there aren't any covid restrictions?

According to the Football Ground Guide:-
"Away fans are housed in the North Stand, at one end of the ground. This good sized covered stand is mostly free of supporting pillars, meaning you normally get a very good view of the playing action. The normal allocation for away supporters is 2,000 tickets and fans are normally housed on one side of this stand on the West side (towards the old Main Stand). If demand requires it, then most of this stand can be allocated, increasing the number of tickets available to 4,700"

If the allocation for the rest of 2021 is going to be a maximum of 2000, is this down to covid (it always seems incredibly congested under that stand) and I wonder if this comes from the SAG?

Very impressed with your first half performance yesterday. Very impressed with QPR second half.

All a bit fishy, is it not?

Is it true that this game is now being played on Sunday 24th at 12:30?

Nah then Tezza. Ah see thi location is S36. So unless tha lives in Stocksbridge or Deepcar, tha duz actually live in Barnsley (tha cums under Barnsley council anyrooad). So wi'll 'Ave none o' that superior " Ah work theer burra dunt live theer" stuff like tha gets from fooak in Penistone ant'like! Tha bins are emptied be red bin lorries. Unless tha lives in Stocksbridge or Deepcar, in which case tha's in soorter no-mans land!!!

The rider to this is I'm actually a rare sort of bloke, a Sheffielder who likes Barnsley. Lived here (in S75) since 2014, worked here, on and off, for nearly 20 years since 1992 (with a 12 year break working in Sheffield). Mrs Numpty, who loves living in leafy S75, thinks I'm nuts actually liking "tarn", but there's summat unique about it that I just like. It's the most unpretentious place possibly in the country. An' tha's nivver etten a poork pie unless tha's 'ad wun frum Percy Turner's at Jump!!!

I know, it's bonkers, but theer tha guz!! 🤣🤣🤣
