Terrible grammar and punctuation though. The reply from Bassett is a reminder of why we liked the guy. No bog-standard PR
Ghandi, for grammar and punctuation you should try the “ Reply to Aaron Ramsdale” thread by Gav. Thank goodness for this thread, that’s all I can say. Go on give it a go.Terrible grammar and punctuation though.
Thowt it were Bert's wine cellar.
Thanks SB, to all intent and purposes it looks like a break in a new season photo shoot but your in put has given it gravitas.View attachment 119318

This must be the lobby, Bert.
A few months ago I saw a video of someone exploring the tunnels under the station. Whenever I go through I always wonder at what's beneath our feet. This morning’s Daily Telegraph

The link works fine on my phone Andy.Coincidentally, I went on a guided tour in these tunnels last weekend, organised by the Sheaf and Porter river trust.
It certainly was a cracking couple of hours, splashing, stooping, stumbling and for short way, crawling along these tunnels.
Although not quite as spectacular as some of the staged and back-lit photos which you may elsewhere see would lead you to believe, they are still very impressive.
I know this season's tours were a very fast sell out but would recommend them to anyone with who still may have a modicum of mobility. If you can manage the BL upper tier steps, the scrum for a half time cuppa or wazz, and still can bother to pick up that 20p you've dropped , then you are fit enough .
Details for any future guided tours will be here I guess....

No white coat, but you can see the small platform for point duty in this, bottom of Fargate

Nostalgia that makes me sad and a bit annoyed. That ragged looking gable end had a glorious building attached that got knocked down to widen the road.

Peter Dornan was going to be The Next Tony Currie, and Steve McKee always looked tricky - I used to think he deserved a bigger chance.View attachment 119318

I remember watching McKee in a reserves match and it seemed that blood came out of his nose. I asked a schoolmate who is a Linfield fan about it and he said it was the same when he was playing for LinfieldPeter Dornan was going to be The Next Tony Currie, and Steve McKee always looked?
I saw this lot turn up at Triple Point yesterday before kick-off, and they arrived back afterwards looking a lot happier than we were.Coincidentally, I went on a guided tour in these tunnels last weekend, organised by the Sheaf and Porter river trust.

I was distracted half-way through this post, talking to my sister about the tunnels of Sheffield and the Porter, hence the strange way my original post ended (now edited).I remember watching McKee in a reserves match and it seemed that blood came out of his nose. I asked a schoolmate who is a Linfield fan about it and he said it was the same when he was playing for Linfield
Thorn between roses.Beauty and the Beast…
It was either a nose bleed or a bright red rash between his nose and top lip. My Linfield mate couldnt explain it eitherSo he genuinely got a nosebleed? I wonder if that was when he got back in defence, or when he found himself in the opposition's box?
Where was this?Dropped on this today.
Folk of my generation, I'm sure, will be taken back to there childhood visits to town.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing.Whoever decided to demolish that building should be dug up and hung from the rafters of one of the betting shops in Fitzalan Square
