Puzzle for me from WBA game was why we (SJ) didn’t get Jack Robinson to try his long throws in the final third to see how they coped with long throws!

Because even JR's long throws can't reach from our own half

Good news. I'm on a promise with "ar Gert"!
Is that a win dependant “promise” cause if it is you don’t want to be ont ”good news” thread

Puzzle for me is why the entire defence and most of the midfield joined in with the scrum/line out in an attempt to contest the header, and no one dropped off to stand on the near post/goal line

Now focus on this shinny ball and repeat after me one hundred times - "I CAN SCORE GOALS !! - I CAN SCORE GOALS - SURE I CAN !!!!!! :tumbleweed:

Yes we threw it back to Verrips
my thoughts exactly our players seem to be programmed to go sideways or backwards i hated the bassett era for the hoofball we played but at least there was some excitement in the 18 yard box this stuff we are playing is turgid and to be honest plain boring

A Huddersfield season ticket holder told me last night that Huddersfield dont have a long throw specialist!
But do they have 11 players that know which way to kick the ball? if so were screwed again.

That was exactly what I thought. It means the keeper can’t get near it. I’d have the keeper stood on the corner of the 6 yard box to contest the ball and everyone else just defending the goal line. The keeper should either catch the ball or get a free kick as the oppo contest with him.
