Good news for tomorrow?

Fingers crossed they dont have a decent corner taker, a decent free kick taker, anyone with a half decent shot, half competent midfielders, a goal keeper with hands, 11 player on the pitch

Puzzle for me from WBA game was why we (SJ) didn’t get Jack Robinson to try his long throws in the final third to see how they coped with long throws!

How do we thwart this though? Stop fannying in and around our area, play higher up the pitch ? WBA and Brum had us squeezed back
Johnstone ( always plays well against us) was playing sweeper keeper without much bother.

It would have involved our defenders going forward and Bartley winning the header and starting them on the counter attack, so would have been pointless because we can't win a header against bigger boys.

Not got much height, us. McB at least put the Knaresborough into United when he came on.

We wont come up against teams as physical, aggressive and bullying as West Brom every week.
However I do think they've shown up some weaknesses that other teams might exploit.

I also feel like Brum and Swansea possibly showed us a bit of respect thinking we are eventually going to "click" and be the force that people were predicting before the season starts.

Speaking of being aggressive, where is this "aggressivity"?

Slav and the team need to use West Brom match as shock, wake up call and somewhere they don't want to be again. We need to start at full tilt.

We don't want to get too many corners and free kicks because it gives the opportunity for quick breaks by the opposition! Whereas I thought WBA were dangerous at every set play I felt exactly the opposite for us. Never look like getting a clean header even if we manage to beat the first man. One of Norwood's kicks didn't get above knee height and one went behind the forwards with one of our players actually heading it out of the area. Depressing.

I did wonder, against WBA why we didn’t put someone in front of the thrower to put him off. Does anyone know if the ten yard rule applies to throw ins?

I believe the first defender has to be 2 yards from the line - so there's no point
