And we aren't scoring/winning by November, do you think The Prince might be tempted to try and patch things up with Wilder?

Genuine question

What would be your view on Wilder coming back if we're struggling

Also a genuine question

I don't see this happening, and if you finish with a bird you don't want to go back down the same old hole do you?!

Why ?
So we can continue to be the same team that can't put a single attacking intent together

Besides, on £2 million a year, Slav ain't getting fired

Why do you think he'd be able to sort it now when he couldn't get a tune out of them in the vast majority of his last 30+ games?

Well I would welcome him back but it ain't happening.
If we need to change managers by then it won't be Wilder.

As much as a fan of Wilder I am, I don't think that would be the answer for the Blades or Wilder himself. I don't think you should ever go back, certainly it is very rare that it works in football. I think Wilder needs to go elsewhere and regain his reputation which has been somewhat tarnished over the last 12 months. For you guys you also have a very good manager in SJ; you need to give it time. Prior to his appointment you would have been hard pressed to find someone on paper at least better than him. If he is given the right backing, there is no reason to suggest he could not make it work, the problem is there is a lot to change, most notably the losing mentality and loss of belief - not easy to change overnight and my personal belief is you need to bring in 4 or 5 players to change the energy around the place.

So far backing seems to be in short supply. I worry that the issues on the pitch are nothing compared to up in the boardroom.

Your problem statement is ridiculous anyway, before we even consider having an opinion on your proposed solution. As if we won’t have scored by November.

It’s like saying “if my cock grows to the size of an oven, should I get a missus with a wheelie bin for a minge?”

I am not worried at all about the ability of Slav as a manager. I’m more worried about the boards commitment to get us out of this hole. All I hear is about loan signings. How about backing the manager properly with some perms.
I wonder what was promised to Slav before he arrived and if any of that has suddenly changed since…:

No thanks, Wilder gave me a few years of football that was the best I have ever seen but unfortunately last season in the prem it became abundantly clear that his answer to trying to stop a bad run was just to carry on and hope that it would somehow fix itself

Sure if he suddenly came back it might see a change in fortune but if it didn’t then I would genuinely fear it would get really worse

Wilder is like that first really great love that you will always remember fondly but the pain of what went wrong and why it didn’t work out etc also remains vividly

Has any manager ever returned to the same club?. If so what was the outcome?.

No get a missus with an oven sized minge.

I appreciate that no two situations are the same, but I’d say ‘yes’. In my case that’s what I did and we’re still happily married.

If we are not scoring or winning in November, SJ might be gone but there is absolutely not a single chance in a blue monkey hell that Wilder will be back. He has gone. We have mourned his lose. We move on.

Re employ Wilder in November and if things don’t go his way by February …..You know the rest
