No get a missus with an oven sized minge.
Correct , I have never tried to get any size of oven (apart from a microwave) into a wheelie bin but I would not be optimistic of success and even if it were possible , the potential pleasure would be outweighed by the back injury at my age.
Mind you , when I was younger , the pleasure some o dem energetic birds gave you was worth the back injury + you recovered from it quicker as a younger man.
Try that these days + I'd need a walking-stick for a month.

Your problem statement is ridiculous anyway, before we even consider having an opinion on your proposed solution. As if we won’t have scored by November.

It’s like saying “if my cock grows to the size of an oven, should I get a missus with a wheelie bin for a minge?”
I hope you use this metaphor in meetings at the office.

And we aren't scoring/winning by November, do you think The Prince might be tempted to try and patch things up with Wilder?

Genuine question

What would be your view on Wilder coming back if we're struggling

Also a genuine question
Wilders been caught out leaving us with the worst buys in English football for many a season. He spent the princes millions quicker than McCabe tried to acquire them and left us with a terrible squad of players.

I think Wilder will focus on trying to get a L1 job or wait for championship managers to start getting sacked.

This thread is fast becoming the best antidote to the current gloom - I will never think of ovens & wheelie bins again without almost crying with laughter

Any club that does proper due diligence on Wilder will be wary of taking him on , but in the end , some desperate club will chance it - that's the nature of a manager's merry-go-round which sees Colin still landing gigs at 83 + chuffs like Pardew & others getting job after failure after job after failure

Yep, people have short memories like kier Starmer slamming the governments handling of leaving Afghanistan conveniently forgetting it was his predecessor that took us in illegally.

Id have him back tomorrow. I dont think prince would do it though.

in reality i can see a situation where a takeover group wants to buy the club in the next few years and want to install him as manager.

How is that Kier's responsibility? What an odd take?

Yeah, I can see HRH begging back the bloke who spent tens of millions on ostensibly useless and worthless signings and refused to change the onfield situation so instead of losing, we were at least drawing.

Wilder also wanted to jump ship early and had his payout.

He is dead to us. We move on and clear out his shit or make something of it.

Didn’t go too badly for Bournemouth with Howe.

If we’re as you say by November. I’d be surprised if the idea hadn’t already crossed the Prince’s mind. Actually swallowing pride (both him and Wilder) might be the harder piece.

In terms of question 2. Yes, I would have him back if we’re still looking like we are now. I don’t think we will be in that position though. Its going to take a while to get us turned around. I am concerned with the amount of work needed on the squad (I.e. fresh faces) before the window shuts.

A lot of posts and Wilder bashing on here. That’s fair in some respects and unfair in others. It’s not always representative of the wider fan base though. In many cases it’s just those who have the time to post and need to rant. I imagine most who don’t post every game that this is Wilder’s fault are somewhere in the middle ground. Blame him for some aspects and are annoyed but would love to see some of 2019 and before rekindled. It feels a large way away from that right now.

So far backing seems to be in short supply. I worry that the issues on the pitch are nothing compared to up in the boardroom.
It does right now. I know Wilder has form for 'sulking' when he does not get things his way (he even did this at Halifax many years ago), however, to be fair to him he demands the same standards that he puts in. When you are working your balls off as he did at Halifax you can understand him getting shitty when cheques are bouncing. I don't know the ins and outs of your club but similar could be said of Wilder's attitude at the end of his tenure. I know this is just conjecture but if Wilder thought he wasn't getting the support he needed given what he had achieved you can understand to some degree his upset at the board. If someone has taken a club from League 1 to 9th in the Premier League and is not getting backed (in his mind at least) then you can to SOME DEGREE understand the upset. We obviously don't know the facts, but looking at what is going on now and the seemingly lack of support for SJ it does make you wonder if those of us who have always said there was more to the Prince's side of the story might have been right at least in part.
