A manager with balls

That instance last night when he set off full tilt down the left flank. If the advertising hoarding hadn’t stopped him I reckon he would have continued up the kop & straight out the back of the ground.
West Brom fans must be laughing their arses off at us and so must everyone else he's played for before us. He's made more appearances for us already than he has for any other team. We've still got him for another season after this, then it'll be back to Scotland with him I'd assume.

It’s 3 games in with no pre-season or very little. Some people do need to get a life, and the pigs on here are sad beyond sad ☹️

Ahhh yes, Covid
That disease that has only affected us

Always an excuse with this club
Always a hard luck story
Always somebody or something else to blame

They once again found themselves in a position that realistically they had no right to be in, just like they did with Bassett and Warnock before Wilder.

And what do they do ?

Do they grab it with both hands and provide us with a team that can either hold onto its place in the Premier League, or at least be a club that can yo yo up and down the divisions having a bit of success along the way ?

No chance
They do exactly the same thing they've always done, they keep style, creativity, natural ability, footballing technique, athleticism, strength, power, and entertainment down to its absolute bare minimum.

And now they're fucked

It’s 3 games piggy...

Change the fucking record,
It's been three games this season, plus 38 games last season, plus cup games, and if we are really talking truthfully it was most of the final ten games from the season before as well.

Nobody is slagging the new manager off, this isn't his fault.
He probably took the job thinking, Premier League players, ok they got relegated but they must be half decent at Championship level, parachute payments so I'll get a bit of backing.

As I said in another thread "Assumption is the mother of all fuck ups" and he's well and truly fucked up.

A manager noted for his attacking, creativity, quick, strong passing style coming here, ha ha ha ha ha, how big an idiot must he be feeling now.

Isn’t it an indictment of our wonderful football club that the only three managers who have achieved a modicum of success over the last 40 years have worn their hearts on their sleeves and two of them had close connections to the club.Is it possible that we have to appoint a Bassett,Warnock or Wilder to stimulate success, are we such a shallow club. The performance tonight was possibly the most disgraceful i have witnessed, the players should hold their heads in shame,we may as well have given the managers job to Jagielka or Sharp,at least the buggers would have had to show that they cared, what a bloody disgrace !!

Last night will be the best thing that ever happened to us.

No more clean slates - deadwood will be dropped sold.
Completely change in play will occur
New players
Absolute kick up the backside

Slav's no mug - we'll switch into gear now and be a new team by Christmas time.

Who’s fucked up? If you are a Blade why don’t you pump your Millions into the Club?

What makes you so sure?

I've just watched and listened to his post match interview and couldn't understand a word. If anything he's poorer at communication than the owner.
I feel totally disconnected and there seems little chance of knowing what's actually going on.

I haven't got millions
But I have pumped tens of thousands in over 50 years, which is pro rata more than any Chairman has done.

And in return I've had fuck all back for it.

Unlike most of our fans I don't see an occasional flirtation with the Premier League every twenty years as success.

I see that as shit

Especially when Watford, Brighton, Palace, Derby, Forest, Southampton, Portsmouth, Ipswich, Norwich, Leeds, Middlesborough, Bolton, Blackburn, Wigan, Coventry, Wolves, WBA, Birmingham, Leicester, Oxford, Luton, Swindon, SWFC, have all either won something, or qualified for Europe.
Or been in the top division more than we have over the last 50 years.

Those 23 teams have won 7 Premier League/Old Division 1 titles in the last 50 years between them!!! We don’t and never have had a Chairman that can pump money in, so I am still not getting your point????

The point is that most of those clubs have been top flight clubs more often than us without having a sugar daddy.

Even before the billions entered the game we were left floundering by most of these clubs

I'm not blaming Slav he's got nothing to play with .... need a clear out.... how long has this garbage got to continue

It was succesful football, but it wasn't stylish,
In the Premier League during our successful season we were lucky if we had 30% possession

What many forget is that our promotion season was much the same

Very little creativity or style, just a system that worked

And I'd take that now to be honest
This has got to be a piss take post??

I know people are feeling angry about how Wilder left and how poorly this season has started, but when did people start re-writing history?

During the first 4 seasons under Wilder we played some of the best football I've ever seen in over 30 years of watching us! You might be angry at Wilder and the current situation but saying 'it wasn't stylish', 'very little creativity'... etc is just laughable! We've watched some absolute dire football over the years but the Wilder era (barring last season) was the most stylish and creative I've seen.

I have to say that's crap IMO JJBlade -for three years it was intense stylish and a joy to watch movement off the ball players covering players when they would go on overlapping runs etc. every piece of the Jigsaw fitted. Then our first season in the Premier League we knew we would not have as much possession so tinkered made ourselves superb at defending the last third but also when we did get possession we used it well -Spurs away being a prime example. Take out the top 4/5 sides in the premiership and look at the overall possession of the others -I am 65 and will say that the four year journey with Wilder was the best of the lot -from John Harris onwards, shame it ended like it did.

Anyone who starts Burke, sees him play, and then starts him again should be questioned.

I had to work last night so settled for the radio, the commentator was getting excited as Burke shot off and left the defenders for dead only to miss control and fluff it out of play, the laughing from the west brom fans was clear and loud, they weren't just making noise, he was laughed at, because they know, like we do...

Wilder swapped Callum Robinson for this joke, worst ever piece of transfer bussiness we've ever done.

Agree with all this tho', apart from the last bit and 100 million plus in players should have kept us in with a shout

The performance tonight was possibly the most disgraceful i have witnessed

im guessing you werent at southend in 2016,

Too many fans with no patience whatsoever.

The amount of my own friends questioning Slav last night, a few even suggesting we get rid already, was utterly ridiculous.

cant say im surprised, people were calling chris wilder the next micky adams & the knives were out after Rochdale Crewe southend Millwall. i remember the rumours that day that he couldve been sacked if we had lost to oxford

Having watched us take Man U to pieces for 60 minutes, dismantle Burnley etc and coming very close to beating Liverpool I'd disagree.
We also played some very good stuff in both Championship seasons.
Let's not rewrite history, we had a good team playing good football.
When did we come close to beating Liverpool?
