Watching that first half, how he got pretty much the same group of players promoted and competing in the Premier League is beyond me.
Outclassed, out worked, out muscled to a man. Not one of them looks comfortable on the ball, confident enough to shield it or take anyone on.

This really does not bode well for the season and the manager must be wondering what he has walked into. Squad needs a complete overhaul based on what we are seeing at moment

Slav is completely out of his depth with this team. Most managers would be but I'm lost with this passing it along the back a few times then hoofing it in a panic because we've obviously been closed down.

Berge not allowed near the box for attacking corners.

Sharp upfront on his own.

Centre backs made to stay in position offering no overloads.

It's bizarre and if it carries on Slav will struggle. I hope I look back on this and laugh (ideally tonight!)

He had players playing to a system and doing it very well but it cannot be sustainable the old saying form is temporary class is permanent perfectly sums it up , the system and tactic covered up a lot of their limitations and it helped achieve results beyond what was expected, like when Leicester won the league, and it will take a couple of transfer windows to sort out

If he was a magician then how come we didn't win a match until after Christmas? Heckingbottom nearly matched his points tally as caretaker in a third of the games.

Wilder also had no plan B when plan A wasn't working. He'd just make like for like subs and continue the same tactics that weren't working.

He’d never have presided over a thrashing like tonight.

Paying kean bryan and jack rodwell a small fortune per week to play golf and laugh at our games

Makes me laugh Don Goodman just said we’ve got championship talent.

Osborn and Robinson weren’t even getting in the squad when Wilder signed them. Bet they couldn’t believe their luck.

Not sure many of our other players would get in many other starting 11’s in the league.

And Burke. Not good enough for the champ let alone PL.

The worst bit is wilder will be loving this. The worse we are the more his stock will rise and he can blame the players, the owners, anyone but him. Can do more exclusive interviews on the golf course slagging us off. Some blade

My post was not meant as praise of wilder, more that anyone who could get this team winning a game must be a magician. I've never seen such an inept performance.

So that means Heckinbottom was a magician?

Wilder didn’t get us playing once our best player got injured. It all fell apart then. Maybe he was the magician, how we could have done with him tonight.
