Was told on sat he had failed his medical.maybe this was his second one .

If he failed it Saturday or even earlier why has Slav still been saying it’s close as late as yesterday I think? If Viera failed that long ago I wouldn’t expect Slav to still keep pushing it and saying he hoped to have him in the club before West Brom game?

This is the kind of shit that happens when you employ a manager in July!

Shit show. The board can lay blame at a Wilders door, Covid, injuries wherever they sodding like, but they are at fault for this debarcle.

Only at Sheff U, different owners same fuck ups.

And so it goes on….more time, more games pass without a player I assume our manager wanted!!
If it’s true that his fitness was a problem and that he was going to be struggling to be fit before October then someone at our club needs their arse kicking!! Why have we wasted time on this for Christ’s sake!!!
Here we go, clubs fault again,
Morning is that Sheffield United ?
I represent Viera, he is desperate to move back to Yorkshire and Sampdoria are willing to do a deal, loan to buy, interested?
What? Yes of course he is fit!
When? Well he is on holiday first two weeks in August, but we can open discussions regards a deal, medical ? Well yes of course
I have no idea if the guy was on holiday, just like I have no idea that his agent wasn't offering his client to 6/7 clubs, no idea if he was our first, second or third choice with any deals being subject to keeping/selling Ramsdale & Berge.
By the way, the guy that you think needs a kick up the arse for delaying Vieras move,,does he get a bonus for potentially getting more money for Ramsdale, by you know, delaying the move?

I've seen so many players move to or from the EU since we were first apparently signing Vieira. I'd love to know how they can do it but we have taken so long just to fuck up.

I would believe Sheff United Way over almost every journalist bar 1 or 2. They wouldn't post something as breaking as this without it meriting truth. You might not wanna believe it but that's ur stance.

Correct me if I’m wrong but Hal is a radio presenter and the other bloke just does the channel

They aren’t sport journalists who actually speak to the agents/people in the clubs

I watch some of there videos and they do a great job but they aren’t ITK

Only 2 hours ago Slav said he’s doing a medical

Again why have we delayed things, you have know idea what the timeline was, the deal or the process he or his agent was dictating

It has been widely reported by people who claim to be ITK that he's been in England isolating for over a week.

And that means what exactly? Other than being here, and isolating, it proves he is in the country and complying with Covid rules/regs, how do you get from that, to the club has screwed up, delayed the deal

Is there any reason why it's never the club's fault with you and yet we have evidence of decades of this club repeatedly fucking up?

my conjecture is as likely as yours.

Decades of the Club screwing things up? Tgat would point to one obvious thing, tge fault of certain individuals, do we have the same people, in the same positions doing the same poor job for decades?

I know I’ve asked you this before but you didn’t answer the first time. Are you under the impression that the club have purposely slowed down this signing?

There is always the possibility the club did delay the medical/deal, maybe they got a call from ManU re Garner a loan was on, then it wasn't when Garner didn't sign his new contract at ManU, then it was on again.
The only people that know, aren't on here and don't communicate who they are after, how far along they are with the deal, with anyone

Maybe I should have added “without good reason” to the end of my question.

In the Championship, ideal for us in Vera's position. Gives 100% every minute of every game but can we get Ben Pearson out of Bournemouth?

Only Sheffield united would put all there efforts into an injured/unfit player. Laughable when you consider all the effort of getting him here plus quarantine

Medicals really aren't as binary as some seem to think.
Depending on what is found, a risk based decision is taken by the club. Obviously, if there is an obvious and serious problem discovered, it makes the decision a no-brainer but there are also instances when one club decides not to take the risk on a player but another club does - the example that sticks in my mind is Demba Ba not signing for Stoke but then signing for Newcastle shortly after.
That would also explain why some players are signed even after suffering serious injuries e.g. ruptured ACL or ruptured achilles. Van Nistelrooy going to Man Utd after a long time out was a good example.

Those of us of a certain age, will remember Asa Hartford, WBA player, the deal to take him to Leeds went on for weeks, headlines in all the papers, he failed his medical at Leeds (hole in the heart) that news made the front pages, got people with no interest in football, talking about it. He went on to sign fir Man City, Forest and Everton, had a very long career
