Has anyone checked the other thread?
The one in rumour mill that deals with rumours?
⬆️⬆️⬆️ THIS RIGHT HERE ⬆️⬆️⬆️

Just got up here in Australia and trawled through two parallel universes of pretty much identical conjecture. For the love of all that's good and right, please can we merge the threads before I lose my mind!

I fear it may be too late already.

Gooners reacting to the news like they've won the Champions League on Twitter. Is Rammers' rep that bad? He'd be on a hiding to nothing there.

Hope this positive news isnt used as an excuse for us not to bring in the NECESSARY CB, Midfielders and Wide players. ⚔️

If Burke only possessed a football brain he’d actually be ok

Shame but for me both Burke and Moose should be moved on if any club would take them

Yes, I know Moose can be decent but he’s no use to this club if he’s forever on the treatment table
No one is gonna take em mate , they are worth fuck all compared to our purchase valuations + current wages.

Let me get this right.

Jokanovich is interviewed for the job and told “you absolutely 100% need to sell before you can buy”. Then, in virtually his first interview as manager, he says he doesn’t want to sell Berge or Ramsdale. And, repeats it several times, whilst also mentioning recently, he wants to bring 5 in?

I’m not saying we don’t need to sell, but Slav is hardly giving that impression, in public at least. Maybe it’s all smoke and mirrors, but being deceptive with fans is hardly a stellar tactic either.

You do make me laugh some of you guys when we don't sign anyone it is because we pay crap wages, when we want to move some on nobody wants them because they won't pay them what Sheffield United do. 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣
Dunno why you're laughing mate - maybe you're confused about how footballers develop or fade over time. We couldn't pay the wages required for Wilders targets Matty Cash & the Brentford striker (went to Villa) & Antonee Thingy (Fulham) so we missed out.
We do have some right 'fading or faded' or 'always were overvalued' mediocrity in the squad whose quality is now nowhere near their original valuation in fee/wages + who would be very difficult to shift without us taking a loss or subsidising their wages :
Mousset , Burke , Sharp , McKnob , Stevens , Osborn (unless played in MF) , Robinson , Lowe , Fleck , Norwood are prime examples.
That's what Wilder's legacy now represents. Tell me who'd give any useful amount of money in fee or wages for any of that lot , which would give us the ability to import younger better replacements.
So if SJ is to make progress towards promotion , the only thing we can do is flog Rammers , Berge or Baldock to produce funds for the rebuild and/or play some youngsters like Lopata , Brunt , Slater , Jebbo etc

Those who cling to Rammers , Berge & Baldock are effectively clinging to the prospect of depriving our new manager of any chance to repair the acute deficiencies in our squad - a great big JoC hole in defence - a midfield that is so ponderous , lacking creativity & aggressivity (SJ) & can't take a decent set-piece.
The hole in defence & the whole of our midfield will see us in the bottom half this season.
You want promotion ? The manager needs to wheel & deal - otherwise why are we paying him ?
It's already been said that he relies on his assistants for in-game tactics.
Apparently SJ's strength is to be better in the market place than Wilder (well , we could all be that) and be capable of building a team that can actually move forward (with the ball , Burkey Boy) faster than a snail on heroin.

It is not like they don't have the cash either. They just don't want to cough it all up at once and want us to jump through hoops for the rest of it.
Yep they were never going to get any bargains this summer after josh kroenke came out and said they had 250 million to spend this summer can’t cry poverty when that’s the case.

Since when? He's had little to no say at previous clubs for transfers. That's always been very clear since he joined.

He has tactical help on the training ground (like Wilder heavily did with Knill) , but thats not to say his match day skills are deficient.

We certainly didn't bring him in for his transfer skills!

If that's true , we're fucked.
Wilder spent all our PL income , somewhere North of £150m in fees & wages.
We now MIGHT (and I stress MIGHT) be able to raise £60m if we sell Rammers , Berge & Baldock.
That's Wilder's legacy in cold hard financial terms
If we don't sell Rammers , Berge & Baldock , how does anyone suppose we are gonna plug the JoC hole in defence + get a midfield to move quickly & creatively towards the opposition goal , either open play or from set-pieces , to create the chances for our mixed bag of strikers to score the goals which might arrest our downward slide , or even have a pop at promotion ?

Arsenal have officially withdrawn their latest offer for Ramsdale. Ramsdale is staying put. Heard, but not sure how accurate, Ramsdale didnt want to be a benchwarmer which is why Arsenal pulled out. No Berge offers are on the table yet either. Blades have valuations which they are sticking to ! Still got until end of the month to keep hold of both. Burke is being shopped around. Viera is awaiting a medical. Seems to be awaiting completion before confirmation. Basically Blades have dissuaded both Arsenal and Everton in signing our players, we are holding firm, its the loans that are seemingly hard to complete. This is all moving quite fast now.

…..so we don’t need to sell before we can buy? I didn’t think that would be the case.

Thanks Glyn by the way. 👍

I thought you said the Ramsdale deal was agreed?

Don't be so negative , Berge does not affect the outcome of our games , despite his manifest quality - both he & we would benefit from him moving on - we'd get the cash to replace Norwood & Fleck as starters with some to younger legs & forward motion.
This is assuming the Ramsdale sale gets us the cash to buy a decent physically dominant CB to replace JoC
Berge will do playing this system

I thought you said the Ramsdale deal was agreed?
It shows nobody knows anything. Things change extremely quickly. At least Glyn Hodges left foot passes on what he’s heard to us. No ego attached just updates which we all like to hear whether true or false, sunjihi on the other hand…..

I thought you said the Ramsdale deal was agreed?
Agreed, valuation was apparenty met,Wasn’t signed though. Personal terms was the reason. Didnt wanna be 2nd choice. A classic case of agreed but not signed. Meaning Arsenal,Blades or Ramsdale can pull out. Nobody wanted him to leave, he didn’t wanna go. Case closed on that one then.
