I thought the atmosphere at the start of the game was better than our first game in the Prem Lets have it every week

Berge, agree he looked class 2nd half. Just like last season, when he runs with the ball, he causes chaos. In the 1st half a traffic cone would have been more effective though.

Burke put in a good shift, and had that shot been a cm further across the post, we would all feel a bit better today. I still think his pace is going to be a real weapon in this league, if he would just put his head up earlier, he could put those runs to much better use.

Mousse looked good up until the injury.

Egan was decent.

Rammers the same.

Osborn wasn't as bad as many are making out, aside from the goal. I like his energy, but am still not sure where he should play. He has to be a better option than Fleck at LCM for the time being though.

Brewster did ok.

Other than that....

I agree it needs time, but I’m worried it needs players we don’t have. The system involves a huge amount of positional flexibility, and would seem to require attacking players to beat their man.

Must admit it pained me to watch Baldock plugging away manfully but without the overlapping support we built our success on. If we don’t make signings, the system needs to be tweaked.
Yep - same things concern me too.

To play that way with inadequate players was a concern - surely he's seen this in training? Birmingham simply closed us down quickly meaning we had nothing other than pass back/square which is an age old problem of ours.

Brewster's body language was a world apart from last season; he looked like he expected something to happen on Satruday

Nothings going to happen whilst he's sat in a midfielders position. You're a striker Rhian.

The fans are behind brewster with the noise they made for him, that alone will give him a boost

For me the crowd was a positive Berge 2nd half was, Billy tried too hard, Brewster did okay but needs a gaol one v Carlisle would be nice for the lad. I felt that Didzy did okay but was looking for the pen too much, and the biggest positive for me was we need to replace Fleck & Norwood.

Both been great servants in past but they seem to have got complacent as no real competition, get midfield strong the goals will come.

Derby, 16K - pissed off fans or what !

They haven't sold any season tickets yet so it's match day walk ups only.

They're finally putting season tickets on sale next week covering 20 games.

I guess it's been something to do with the proposed change of ownership or their perilous financial position.

The fans' expectations are lower than zero and I actually think 16k is a decent turnout in the circumstances but I do wonder how many were Huddersfield fans.

on the plus side the bare concrete pillars on the south stand have been painted a lovely shade of battleship grey .i am informed it is grimsby sunset i sincerely hope our football does not match this colour UTB

I think Saturdays performance puts to bed once and for all the myth that this club has been effected more than others by lack of support in the stadiums.

If they'd come out like a house on fire for the first ten minutes when the fans were really behind them but then ran out of ideas that would have at least given some credence to their opinion.

But in a brilliant atmosphere in the first five minutes they never stepped up, not even for five seconds.

They then silenced everybody with their slow, backward, clueless crap and there might as well have been nobody there anyway
