If we'd played more than 2 games, one of which was against a load of Gibraltan milk men, then I would be more concerned.

My main concerns right now are entirely focused on our left side. Robinson looked like Scott Bakula had just quantum leapt into him, totally out of his depth, and Osborn is not a fullback.

Imperative we get a CB over 6 foot because we're sitting ducks from crosses.

I think many of us expected a slow start and are not worrying too much yet. But our preparation has been bad, the team selection was bad and the performance was bad. I'm not sure there's much point pretending otherwise. It doesn't necessarily mean we won't have a good season in the end.

It’s early days of course but we need something to change and quick. Confidence is massive of course but we are appalling and it’s v worrying for our season.

Not that simple. Big money spent on players who have yet to show they were worth what was spunked on them, with only Berge being anyway near to being worth it. They took us down remember, with one of the worst seasons in top flight football in living memory. Slav has inherited the mistakes of last season.

Inherited a squad that doesn’t really know any other system too…I think this showed with the defence more than anything, they didn’t know when to go forward / hold their positions. We couldn’t stop the cross coming in and Hogans ‘bit of pace’ upset Robinson in the first half.

indeed after one game, and 2 and 3 and then 4.

Wilder realised his error and went to 3 at the back - the rest was history.

What is clear to me is that if we carry on playing like we did tonight with this squad, we could be looking at David Weir mk2.

A continuation of last season but the difference is we were up against Birmingham who ended last season a few points better off than the pigs. If a lower half Championship outfit find it so easy to beat us then you have to be worried ....................... very worried.
