At least we haven’t sold anyone yet - I guess…

suspect both will change before the end of the window but some focus needs to be put into completing the squad Slav has to work with.

feels like he’s got a hand tied behind his back to get results if we go too long before letting him shape the squad to play his tactics. Though I guess it’s no bad thing that he assesses the side he has atm.

You mean when we were in the Premier league buying from the Championship for huge fees?
Given both those facts are no longer true and we’re not shopping in the same pools don’t you think that would change the game?
We’re after premium loans for the Championship, and players who want to play in the Premier League. We’re not a huge pull for them so we have to wait until they’re sure they don’t have better options. The alternate is to lower our sights, and go for lesser players.

If you’re referring to Darren Smith he also suggested they wanted playing time guarantees we couldn’t offer.
In addition if it is Darren, he’s said we’ve made a bid for Davies, without selling anyone and he clarified his comment that the Vieira deal is still on.

I’m guessing Reece10 is talking about this comment. It’s not like Darren isn’t open about his links to the owner but he’s also said the deal isn’t dead as far as he knows and he’s commented on other bids. He’s a bit inconsistent and admits he’s only offering his own view, he doesn’t always have inside info.

Darren smith is essentially saying that we have about 5 deals all practically done and finalised but just waiting to sell a few to make room on wage budget to bring them in. In my opinion, i say we just sell rammers for £32m. I’d rather us lose one and bring in 5 with verrips given a go

He’s just fuming because we haven’t sold him to hull. I understand that he wants his son to have the best career possible and that would include first team football which he probably won’t get here but can he not see that we are bare to the bone in midfield. Once we bring some midfielders in then he’ll be allowed to leave. He needs to keep his opinions to himself as this is football and things don’t always go your way.
