I hope Sander stays. I think Ramsdale is more easily replaceable. But if Berge leaves Bogle is just as capable of filling that right midfield role. Vieira Bogle and either Fleck or Osborn will be good enough. Berge is still an unknown quantity. How good is he? It's still largely potential. I would hold out for £55 million plus for the pair if Arsenal are prepared to deal. That would still leave us in a great position. I noticed on Arsenal forums they are going apeshit about possibly signing Rammers and Berge. They see it as a lack of top four ambition. Either way we hold the aces. Deal or no deal we don't lose in this scenario.

You may be right. Berge was touted as a central midfielder but he played better as a right half in the old lingo. And Bogle is better offensively than defensively so I would see him playing in front of Baldock. Baldock and Bogle would make a good combination down the right.

Bogle is better suited to being an attacking right winger in a front 3 than an right sided centremid imo. He’s a dribbler with a few tricks in his bag who wants to get to the byline or into the box and have a shot we’ve seen him do it even from right back. He dribbles well enough to maybe partially replicate that part of berges production but I’ve seen no evidence that he has the close control, vision and short and long passing range to make him a press resistant centremid which is what berge is I think he’d get destroyed if played centrally and lose possession very often.

Bogle Mousset Brewster as an attacking front three could work.

Weirdly I think Berge is a better player overall but may require being in a team surrounded by similar quality players to really show it. As an example he would not be out of place of thrown into Man City’s midfield.

Bogle on the other hand isn’t as good but can perhaps stand out more individually. He obviously couldn’t play in Man City’s team but he could have a bigger impact for us this season at a lower level.

Probably makes fuck all sense but I know what I mean.

How good is Berge though? We've seen glimpses. How would he fit in at Arsenal? That is a big question. Agree he could be awesome in the Championship. Not sure about him at Prem level. But you could say that about all our players.

£55m. Lol.

Berge has a £35m release clause and we’re demanding around the same amount for Rammers. Absolutely no need to accept £55m.

I would take £55m for the pair 100% ... Berge has done very little since he has been with us (I am so surprised people are in for him TBF) ... Rammers - tough one as he is the future and getting into the Eng squad ensured we got our money back on him. His career needs a Champ Season like Deano had ... then he will be worth £40m in a couple of years ...... So £55m - £30m for Ramsdale and £25m for Berge ... deal done. Go get Jack Butland and a new up and coming 21 year old

65m minimum for the pair. We're not a charity.

Berge, Bogle, Brewster .... I can see a pattern developing.

Burke?

Don’t really agree about Bogle being a like for like replacement for Berge. But I know he’s much too good to be a benchwarmer.

Would like to see them two both stay at least until January.
Chance of setting fire to the Championship with what we have.

It’s a sign that we’re getting back to normal that someone is suggesting a player can easily play in a completely new position. Not been many of these posts in the last 18 months.

#natureishealing 😂
Yeah, because most of our team struggled play in their own positions last season.

Bogle a Berge replacement 😳 completely different players
If we go with our Managers system ( the one he used against Donny trialists in the first half) which I think we will

We will need a player like Berge who can link play do box to box but also keep the ball and recycle possession -That’s not Bogle

I don't think that Berge is actually a right sided midfield ..... even though we played him there. I think he's more comfortable centrally and that seems to be him replacing Norwood.
As for £55m for Berge and Ramsdale ...... I think most will be rightly pissed off if we sold the two for less than £75 - £80m and so far, the Board (to its credit) have dug in the heels and rejected derisory offers. The days of BOGOF and cut price sales seem to be in the past now that McCabe has gone and I certainly hope that we refuse to sell unless we are presented with a deal that we simply cannot refuse ...... which is around £40m each.
