The one thing that seems to have been forgotten in the DW scenario is the fact that Pembo has been appointed as first team coach. If I'm honest he was my choice as manager (I'm sure loads would not agree but isnt that the point of opinions?), BUT...with an experienced guy alongside him to help.
This almost seems to be the case although the other way around - I mean, I would've been pleased with a pembo appointment and DW helping with other aspects. However, Pembo is now going to be having a great impact on first team coaching which will have us playing a certain way - being comfortable on the ball, passing and movement. DW has accepted the job knowing that this is the forward way of thinking and any player not fitting this regime will be his job to try and flog elsewhere.
I think that McCabe realised that Pembo and Adams were chalk and cheese - one was succeeding, one wasn't. We had to go one way and it wasn't Micky's - Pembo has a big part to play in this club and I say give it 6 months and we'll have a squad playing in a way that will please everyone.
Give it time, and we'll get there. There's been so much negative talk on here (I may have even contributed to it myself) over the last few days I suggest we start looking at the positives. Pembo strives for good football, and DW has also tried to go down that route.
It really is amazing what a few JD and cokes can do for your enthusiasm :drunk:
