A mural.
Typical lack of attention to detail by Sean Thornton .
It is spelt 'muriel' as Hilda well knew:

That's either genius or criminal. I can't decide.Hee-hawed to have kept it to himself
You can - you just need a test in the 48 hours before the game.
Two vaccines or a negative test in the 48 hours before. Coming back from an Amber Country is two vaccines, a negative test 3 days before and a negative pcr test two days after!!From what i've heard it's 2 vaccines and a negative test?
Test only valid for 48 hours so take your test after 10.00 pm on the 5th ( kick off is at 8.00 pm ) or anytime on the 6thTake a test on the 4th or 5th then![]()
Or get together with 50 yobs and storm past the stewards. It’s the future.Just climb on top on the bus stop on the corner of Cherry St and John St and jump the wall.
Did that for every home game.in 79 when my dad lost his job and we needed the ticket money for bog roll.
80 was a good year as I stole all the bog roll from the cop toilets meaning I didn't have to rip my keks on the barbed wire and outrun the fat stewards.
In 1983 I bummed a cat.. Nothing to do with ground entrance though, so I'll save that for another thread on off topic chat.
We were exactly the same as you mate. Never experienced anything like it. We are fit and in our early 50s, no health conditions whatsoever, but it absolutely hammered us for 2 weeks..didn't get out of bed for a week. Lost tonnes of weight. I ended up in hospital for the night due to very low oxygen levels. For a long time we thought we were just not getting over it.The people who dont want the vaccine have not had full covid. I tell you what if they get it l they will wish they had taken the vaccine. My wife and I had it last October but we didnt need to go to hospital and it was horrendous - six weeks it lasted plus another six weeks to get over Long covid and like I said we didnt need to go to hospital. Didnt feel "right" till just after Xmas.
Double vaccined now and glad of it. These people who dont want it might have a choice doesnt mean to say they are making the right one.
Super.......Also heard its only available for the top 6 clubs...................

... but that's ok some on here will say 'because you got through it dint you?'
I wish that some of them could have experienced it like we did (without them coming to any harm obviously). They would be playing a different tune now that's for sure.
Glad to hear that you both pulled through![]()

SheffsteelI’ve renewed 3 season tickets and none of us will be going if passports and vaccines are required.
We’ll go if testing is free and straight forward but won’t go if it‘s a hassle.
I’ve emailed the club weeks ago to ask them if I could have a refund if there are restrictions and they‘ve still not replied.
I’ve seen almost every home match since the late 70’s but will only return when it returns to normal and i’m prepared to wait.
I’ve just returned from the Great Yorkshire show and it gave me hope. No testing, no QR codes, no track and trace apps and no signing in required.
Really large crowd, mainly outdoors, not many wearing masks….no distancing and no sign of nervousness either.
capacity was restricted to 30,000, so it was busy but not packed.
I’d say under 60’s age groups less than 5% wearing masks
Over 60’s was about 50% wearing masks.
It felt great, close to normal.
Yes mate I do realise that it gives varying levels of illness. I know some that have had it very mild (my kids are just a few) and I know people that have died from it. What annoys me is people on here that just dismiss it as 'only flu' or a 'fake virus that doesn't exist' without any respect for the many folk that have suffered in some way.Mak ….just because you had a bad experience doesn’t mean others will, altho appreciate the warning.
Almost everyone I’ve know who’s had covid has has no symptoms or minor symptoms. In fact I know some people who have been ill with the vaccine (usually minor) however one was more serious, he could hardly breathe a few hours later and was thinking of going to hospital before it died down.
As in most things…people’ s opinions are based on their own experiences and accounts from their family and friends.
Think it‘s great that you’re now protected. However remember according to SAGE you can still catch covid and pass it on to others.
The media reporting has encouraged almost a mass hysteria regards covid. Think it‘s really important to stand back, do some research to acquire some perspective.

I'm here to help. I've been to ten games/events recently which required some sort of proof of reduced Covid risk for entry. They've been an absolute low burden no problem piece of piss. If you've simply got political or religious or philosophical reasons why you won't "play ball", that's your choice & I won't comment.
But, if you're bothered about some practical, logistical thing, I can ease your mind. I don't want to see a Blade not going to games because of some mad misunderstanding.
What's the worry?
Well. If you're not anti vax. Then getting the Vax was the very easiest route to proving reduced Covid risk at the ten events I've attended. Don't cut your nose off to spite.... You've been going for ages. You've got season tickets. You're not anti vax. You don't want to be missing games in those circumstances do you?if it’s no hassle like you say….then I’ll take the test and go.
I’m not anti vaccine and may eventually take it….but I’d rather do it the natural way and risk catching covid again acquire the anti bodies.
Trouble is, and I mean this with the greatest of respect, most people simply don’t have the required knowledge, experience and understanding to comprehend something as complex as virology or epidemiology, so their opinion is flawed from the outset as it’s not based on a solid understanding and application of the facts and data.

Mate. Sorry. I'm talking about going to a football match to support my/your team. If you don't want to, don't go.I‘m the type that has to be persuaded to take anything.…I‘ve never even had a head ache tablet.
The reason is….every few years I’ll get a headache….someone will say “you need to take an aspirin“.
I leave it…and massage my temples instead….about 2 hours later…the head ache has gone.
Now if….after a few hours I still had a headache….then I would take a tablet…so I’m not actually anti tablet.
Regards flu, covid or any illness I’d rather catch it and build up my own anti bodies.
If my personal experience (or someone close) was scary severe then of course…it’s “live and learn“ and I’d willingly take a vaccine.
However ive become more and more suspicious of the way the vaccine is effectively being advertised on the news.
It’s feels like if someone came up to you in the street and offered you £50.
You‘re immediately suspicious and you say “sorry. not interested”
They then give £50 notes to other people in the street and say “look there’s no catch…£50 can be yours for free”
I’m tempted but again say “no” again. They then become extra persuasive….telling me I could take the £50 and give it to a loved one.
I again say “No”….They then start becoming aggressive.,,telling me I’m crazy to refuse £50 and I must take it.
I then start becoming more suspicious…then a friendly Ball Supp (Phil) says “come on mate….why not take the £50…it’s free money for you to spend how you like”
Then Ainsley comes along and says “don‘t take it…you’ll become part of a cult and lose the freedom you previously classed as normal”
Bruce Wayne then says a respected scientist on the net says the £50 notes have a highly poisonous ink that alters your brain so you can be controlled by Bill Gates
