"Former Fulham assistant Javier Pereira has emerged as a candidate to take charge of Sheffield United.

One name they are particularly interested in is believed to be Pereira – who was former number two to Slavisa Jokanovic, who himself has been linked to the role.

Pereira was assistant to Jokanovic at Watford, Maccabi Tel Aviv and Fulham. He then served as Assistant Director of Football Operations at Craven Cottage before being appointed manager of Chinese Super League club Henan Jianye.

Pereira’s reputation of a being a top-class coach has been backed up by numerous managers and United are understood to have been hugely impressed by the reports they have got back on him."

Would take him has done excellent work at Tel aviv

Possibly an upgrade also IMO

You’ll all be moaning when he leaves us in 2023 to go and manage Real Madrid. Mark my works.

Show sum ambishun prince fuk sake

I’m thinking that a foreign manager is the way to go. There’s no British candidates that interest me.

Had one job as manager in Spain at Alaves, did 7 months and got sacked.

He’s 6 months into his only other managerial job, over in China. Current record is played 14, won 1, drawn 3, lost 10.

Consider this one nailed on 😂
Oh dear. So why are people rating him, strange.

If anybody from the club is reading this.

Take us down the same road as that fucking lot in s6 with no mark cheap managers who've done nothing in the game....

Get fucking ready.....

I hope this is bullshit. Just because someone is a good coach, it doesn’t make them a good manager. I was joking with my mate last week about “gi it Morgs” and saying that if KM was still owner, Billy Sharp would be our next manager.

It’s a straightforward task - go and get a proper fucking manager, not a coach, not a drunk, not some ex-Blade who’s got little experience, a manager, a proven bastard manager and don’t try to be clever fuckers about it because we’ve got two goes at this before we have to sell players and one more go before you have to sell the club because you won’t be able to fund the losses we’ll make in the championship if we don’t go back up.

Really hope this is him announcing he's coming in as SJ's Assistant Manager this week. He was instrumental in SJ's past success.
Fulham fans now picked up on same article and suggesting JP is coming in as Director of Football with Wilder as manager and Tony Khan taking a back seat. Hope not.

Totally ignoring the fact CW doesn't want to work under a DoF, then again that old saying about money talks,,,

True although it seems he was prepared to work under a DOF at West Brom before the owner over ruled the Board

Yes its amazing, the importance money has, when it's weighed against your principles,, been there got the t shirt!

Maybe he's realising most of how football clubs work has changed and if he wants to work at the top level again, he's going to have to change the way he works himself. Most (perhaps all) of the PL have DoF's.

Exactly, but what most people will find hard to accept, it appeared to be a 'red line' here, and someone must have said, years ago the higher up you go the less overall control etc

Looks as though Marco Silva is off to Fulham. Another terrible but completely obvious Fulham appointment
I did have my doubts that Wilder would work under Khan. If he can't work under the Prince I very much doubt that Wilder would like managing for Tony Khan! Pleased with Fulham going for Silva, not exactly an experienced hand in the Championship and not proven in England full stop! Bet Fulham fans are delighted!
