Not liking the noises coming out of employing someone to sell players then next minute yorkshire live saying we don't need to sell .but I get the Impression we can't buy before we sell and the budget will be tiny .

We need a midfielder and a striker that's different to what we have

I don’t think we need a striker. What we have should be more than good enough for the Championship.
What we need is more creativity and positive movement from mid field. Perhaps we have that already in the youngsters ?

You’re right. Current striker roster:-

Moose
McBurnie
Sharp
McGoldrick
Brewster
Jebbison

We’ve also got Hackford and Burke.

There’s plenty of goals at Champ level there and it’s likely we’ll need to get rid of a couple of players up top as we have too many.

Agree with you on the desperate need for creativity but I don’t think it’ll be forth coming from the youngsters next year. Slater is more of an industrious player and brunt will in all likelihood go out on loan unless he takes a massive leap over the summer. The rest of them are further behind imo and will probably continue to play under 23’s football next year. The academy midfield will probably be Maguire, Arblaster and Brooks.

Over the last couple of seasons we have spent (for us) a hell of a lot of money on players, and here we are talking about the youngsters ?
What's happened to the players we've spent millions on ?
There's only one that's shown any promise and he's one we sold in the first place, and then cost us a fortune to buy back !!!!!!

I can't get my breath.........🤪

Staggeringly bad transfer business by Wilder

Loved Mr Wilder and can never thank him enough for the pleasure he gave us, He was appointed by Mr McCabe and IMO the best thing he ever did for us,
both for me were old United, and with their departure go's the last of the old school,
Don't know what's ahead, but got a feeling it's going to be very different from now on, excited but with a touch of fear when you see what's happened across the City, but confident that what ever happens, and in what ever form the Blades will still go marching on.......UTB

For me Moose has to go, I'd also get rid of Burke, Sharp can do a job still, as can Didzy, who I'd play in the 10 role, and surely Brewster, Mcburnie and Jebbo can provide plenty in the Championship??
I'd send the Rest of the youngster out on loan this season, and also look hard at Slater before hes sold on.
Norwich are in for Bogle, and we need cover in Defence.
Besic on a free would be a good signing too.

Hope we can look further than UK now for players

I was told that the club need to raise £50m from player sales. I expect that will be Berge and one or more of either McBurnie/Ramsdale/Bogle.

Hopefully that will fund some new faces, to replace some of last seasons old faeces 😉

"Different to what we have up front"

Just don't get it at all

We have every type of striker that we need.

Creativity in midfield is what's needed, and even the midfield we have might be creative enough if the shackles are lifted from them. Especially in the Championship

What shackles were on the midfield last season?

I'd give moose away for nothing to get him out of the club and off the wage bill, not sure even as a freebie anyone would want him.
Burke I'd also sell if anyone was daft enough to give us a few million. Wilder maybe when he gets a job?

If that's true, it's absolutely ridiculous after being in the prem for 2 seasons.

The last thing on earth we need is more strikers.Mcburnie, sharp mcgoldrick,Brewster have all scored for fun at that level. We need some athleticism and creativity in that piss weak midfield. If anything we need rid of a striker or two as the squad isn’t balanced.

Have to agree. I'd like to see Jebbers and Brewster gain confidence and game time over the next season, Sharp and Didzy go without saying for me. Burke... I really don't know, he's quick but unless he gets some training I don't see much room for him but I'm happy to be proved wrong by the lad!

Mcburnie can leave for me, generate some cash from him.

Moose is probably the most infuriating player I've ever seen. I'm positive there's a very talented player there but he really just doesn't seem interested and that pisses me off. Alot of me wants to part ways but a tiny part of me wants to give him a chance.

All this depends on Jokanovic's set up. The players who didn't work well last season may flourish under a new manager.

i think the majority of slavs signings will be loans with probably a couple with a view to buy midfield being the key area could well see us bring 3 new players in for that area i think we will see 6 new signings

Would we get any where near our money back on any player judged on last seasons showing, I doubt it,
So perhaps it maybe better if we could hold on to them for now and then hopefully they will give a better showing and a better return in the next window .
With a bit of luck we may even get some muppet who thinks Moose is worth a punt, asking a lot I know but ?......... 🙄
