Following on from a very difficult period from when Chris left his position,it took time for the squad to get over his departure.
Following on from that the team has turned a corner and put in much improved displays and results whilst including bring some of our youngsters into the first team squad.
One of our main aims when looking for our new manager was to bring someone in to bring some of our U23 players into the first team and look to improve them moving forward.
We feel that Paul has displayed great coaching this year for the U23s and in difficult times when taking over the first team and we feel he has all the qualities we are looking for to move thd team forward in the future.
We would like to congratulate Paul Heckingbottom on being the next Sheffield United manager.UTB

As mentioned by others I think that they did go for Blessin, but then found that it simply isn't possible due to work permits. so have had to look at other options. I.e Slav.
