McBurnie Video

I don't have any inside knowledge, but after two seasons of abject failure from the man himself, a club in decline, a few off-field incidents and the apparent hatred of a huge section of the fanbase, would it be much of a surprise if he did move on?
Never get why any fan would hate a player who plays for their own team.

Also there is a difference of not being surprised that he moved on and claiming that he doesn't want to be here anymore.

I hated Tony McMahon, but that's about it.
It's a fair shout, but hate? Nah just thought he was a bit of a twat. Most humans are though, so no reason to get all wound up. I'd take MCB over 3 McMahons any day, rewatch a game and focus on only him, he puts the work in.

My main problem with McBurnie isn't he work rate (he gets unfair flak in that regard) but the fact that he apparently cannot strike the ball cleanly. Given that he's a striker, this seems a pretty glaring defect.

Fair shout, lets see how he goes in the championship. a bit more time to set yourself for a shot than in prem by all accounts... Time will tell

I'll grant you a pineapple ring on a gammon egg and chips. But sorry pineapple and any bread related rations(this includes pizza base) is just wrong! Let the battle commence! :)
Oh, oh - boys & girls, here is an interesting plot twist..... “It’s the bread/pineapple combo that’s the issue, not the meat & fruit pairing”.
Respectfully Sir/Madam, you need to eat pineapple-bread, pork & pineapple tacos, shrimp & pineapple fajitas and the several other delicious (looking) recipes I found with the aid of a quick Google search.
At least we know which side of the battle line you’re on. Respect for that.

So you got nothing to back your claim that Oli doesn't want to be at Sheffield United anymore?
Personally I have nothing concrete but if I wanted to work at McDonald's I wouldn't post stuff about Burger King and 5 Guys all day

Do people 'hate' him?

I am disappointed with him as a player, and that is compounded with his ale-house tactics on the pitch (leaving stuff in the tackle and falling on the floor, injuring himself in the process)

The fact that away from football he has questionable virtues for a person in the public eye. On here he appears incognito and offers a surprising array of inarticulate slavver and is easily triggered by bellends with cameras. There will be several tens of thousands of bellends with cameras packed into stadiums next season. It's part of the professionalism within the game to zone that out and feed off he positives and adoration when (if, more like) he scores.

I hope he stays next season and shows his capability, but reviews his stupid actions. It's up to him to win our support with his actions as a footballer, not fo us to forgive him for being like a lot of us, which we don't want. I'd get away with knuckling a wanker on the street. He won't, and neither will the club he plays for and we support.

You can keep all of this, no one wants a bite or even to be in the same room as it..... https://recipes.timesofindia.com/recipes/pineapple-sandwich/rs55600868.cmsView attachment 112928
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐️ from me.
“The delicious combination of salty pig, tangy cheese & sweet, sweet juicy pineapple (with obligatory scalding hot juice) wrapped in a wholemeal slice is the perfect way to end a night out with the boys OR to woo your new love.
Of course, some Phillistines will never appreciate it’s beauty. Some people, eh....”

“Questionable virtues as a person ? “

Bloke paid £10k for a lads funeral he never met?

But but he wears silly clothes and talks like a rapper eh ?

Agree with you there pommpey. Solid logic, fair explanation!

Got to ask, does he actually come on here incognito? Is that for certain?

Is it just that?

He decides to react violently to members of the public on the street whilst representing Sheffield United? Do you call that 'questionable'?

What is your opinion on Eric Cantona's kung fu attack on that Palace supporter? Do you think, despite the 'fucker deserved it' reaction, that it places the image of the game of football in a positive light, that even the players act like a faction of the fans we consider to be wholly wrong with their actions?

Many players wear silly clothes and speak like rappers. Almost all of them aren't on camera mixing it up with wankers on the street or mixing up with wankers on a football forum either.

It's him. Simple triangulation suggests it.

pommpey
Our own Jack Bauer on the case! Do you mean like IP triangulation or just putting the pieces together from posts?

(Not trying to be obstinate! Genuinely interested! If he is on here and reading all this then bloody hell Oli lad, have a word with yourself and grow up a little)

Not forensic triangulation. His reactions to negative comments and personalisations have led many to believe Bladeballer is in fact him.

You've only to look at his attacks on me in some 'My takes ...' to come to an informed theoretical conclusion that he's spiked by 'disrespectful' comments (such as 'McPub') and then a vague 'you're a keyboard warrior/you wouldn't say that to 'his' face' shitflicking to come to some sort of realisation that he's on here tracking what people say about him. The fact that he hasn't been so prolific recently spells out that someone is advising his to stay away from sites like this where agitators (like me) exercise their democratic freedom to say what the fuck they want regarding their dismal performances which have come at the cost of twenty million quid and a shitload of wages. The fact that he's behaving like that out in public shows a critical lack of self discipline which other professionals seem to own.

If bellend with camera had threatened violence or physically attacked McBurnie and come a cropper, we wouldn't be talking about this in this thread and he'd have my full support. I wouldn't take McBurnie on in a fistfight on principle or in practice.

pommpey

Well he does well because must be taking his phone to matches and using it during game time then!

He's possibly been sat in the stand, injured.

Or commenting after the game.

Many post match reviews tend to happen after the final whistle, you know.

pommpey

Ha ha ok keep telling yourself that Oli is on this site!

It's not just me.

If you are, then please dial it down. Come back next season refreshed and resolved under our new manager and be that pain in the arse for the opposition, not for us. Be our top scorer and our reason we bounce straight back up, under the new manager, with Bramall Lane stuffed full of fans chanting your name. That's what we want.

If you're not, good luck with the utter shit you type on here.

I remember when he first started playing and Wilder had to continuously shout at him and reward him for closing people down. When he put a shift in he looked like there could be a good player in there but those 110% effort days have been few and far between. The fact he needed to be shouted at constantly to put a full shift in should have raised concerns

He doesn't seem to be giving it his all (he's not alone) when he's on the pitch and is ineffectual, at best. We're not a good club for strikers, but the difference in application between McGoldrick and Sharp and everyone else is remarkable.

As for his off the pitch antics, he's clearly a bit of a prat. Drink driving, reacting to nobheads with violence, general public persona he displays to the world. Guy might be a decent lad but he's clearly not committed to football or responsible enough for his own actions.

I realise this turns some people into slavering monsters, but why is one of out very highly paid athletes seemingly regularly in a pub, or at the very least drinking? If you're injured, or been training for that matter, alcohol impedes recovery. He's clearly not alone in this at the club, it seems to be a theme and must be condoned by the management staff.

If someone wants to give us our money back, or near enough, for him then I think we should take it. He doesn't fit into the system we've been playing and unless there's a major change I doubt he will. We have more strikers than we need. I'd take money for him, Burke, Mousset or Brewster. We're not shifting Didzy or Sharp in their last year at their ages.

He was harassed in the street I wouldn’t blame any person for reacting whether that he footballer or anyone

We also don’t know the full story on one of the pictures mcburnie looks like he’s got blood coming from his nose

So should he just take getting harassed in street then

Was he wearing a United kit when he gave the guy a clip? Looked to me like he was in civvies. No different to you or anyone else giving the guy a clip, now if you did the same in Uniform you would be representing your ship and it would say so around your hat.
Obviously some people have never heard of work/life balance shouting abuse at a bloke from the terraces is a lot different to shouting abuse on the streets of a small town when he is out with friends or family.
I get you don't like McBurnie but he is the victim here not the other way round, I say well done to him for standing up to three bullies.
I would imagine the Police have said to Oli next time let us deal with it. To the gobshite I think it probably went if you want to press charges you can but we will then be charging you with drunk and disorderly and maybe threatening behaviour, go away and don't let it happen again. At least that's what the solicitor drafted half arsed apology without admitting any guilt says to me anyway. I doubt there is any more mileage in this incident apart from a section of our fans.

Thing I don't get, is that when you watch that interview after the 3-3 with Man Utd posted above, he seems fairly balanced and articulate. Maybe, like Jim and John Fleck, there's two of them, Oli and Ally McBurnie.

We may find out whether one or both are a bit of a nob, but more important is to find out if at least one of them can consistently get a decent shot on target.
