I get that, but if one was preparing a character assessment (which any sensible prosecution lawyer would do in this case) then it all starts to add up to looking quite bleak for our Scottish, Welsh, American, Leeds, Scarface wannabe.

I also get that mentality too, thats what my dad grew up with and was arguably why he was such a bastard. Hitting kids just teaches them that hitting people is alright. Wouldnt surprise me if McBurnie grew up with that kind of attitude, which is possibly why we're having this conversation now.

I'm all for discipline. But at the risk of sounding like Gandhi at 11am on a Monday morning...violence only begets violence.

Depends how hard the prosecution want to push for it and how rigidly McB defends and denies it.

If he says "here you go, here's some compensation" it'll probably disappear very quickly

They haven't issued any meaningful statement at all other than to say 'A video has surfaced allegedly involving one of our players"

If that video is the only evidence, then there is no evidence, unless McBurnie admits ir was him

Fair comments.

The drink driving is a seperate thing, he was identified and convicted (can't remember what he got if I'm honest). So yeah, anyone doing that gets the book thrown at them in my view.

It's pretty clear from his previous that McB has a , to put it mildly, questionable attitude. So if you're going to goad someone like that, don't be suprised when it gets noisy. So yeah, if that was my lad involved of course I'd be worried and concerned, but I'd also be asking him why he has nothing better to do than go round filming people.

Anyway, might be something in it as the club are investigating now.

Now a rape comparison. Are you working your way through all criminal offences to castigate him.?

lf it’s a police matter, he’ll be dealt with based on the evidence, not on comparisons to much more severe offences. If guilty, he’ll be dealt with by the Courts and the Club, as he should be.

The majority “defending “ him, are in fact awaiting the full story rather than saying what he did is okay.
 
I dont blame mcburnie one bit , yes he is a pro footballer and gets the money that comes with it

But you only have to twitter search his name after a match/scotland match and the ammount of grief he gets is nowt like I've seen anyone get before

If he was been harassed by a group of lads and he's gave them some back to them then fair play and I don't blame him

All these people saying get rid need to get a grip
