Jebbison coming on was the only reason I didn't turn it off. He looks hungry for it.

He looked good but he is very raw and needs to add power to his game. Just a cautionary note though its probably best not to hype him up too much because he will be very inconsistent at his age and as a fan base we have form for lambasting youngsters when they don’t quite live up to the narrative. George long and DCL spring to mind.

One thing to note is when he got the ball with his back to goal. Did he look to pass backwards?

No, his first thought was to spin and go forward and was rewarded for it by getting a freekick in a dangerous area.

I like him he’s full of confidence from the 23s doing so well. To reach his top potential he’ll need to add a power element to his game because he’ll be asked to play close to the centrehalves given his frame. That will probably take a while to come given his age he’ll put on a lot of muscle in the next few years and once that happens could be a really dominant player. And that’s going to need patience from the fans because he will fluctuate in terms of performance at this age and will get bullied by centrehalves at senior level currently.

Remember Jordan Slew
Let him take his time and develop
Dont put big expectations on him after 30 mins of senior football
Understand where you're coming from. but I like the look of the lad and he knows where the onion bag is and he's going to have that stature ,that little bit of nastyness which all decent strikers need ⚔️👍

Really hope the lad does well and is the next big thing. But, am pretty sure Brewster ran around a bit in his first game to. Not seen anything in the few minutes he was on to say he is a ballon dor winner.
Let the lad develop, give him time and am sure he will be a player. My worry is everyone saying he’s a world beater will be first ones saying he’s shit when he’s not scored in a few games

Maybe they can both be pulled from training for a week to show Burke how to play the position?

Let me get this right, one of the youngsters played, played well and did not look out of place. Well f me sideways. Get the young lads playing, its not f'in rocket science.

I tend not to sing the praises to fans of other clubs of our up and coming talent..cos if they're any good I know how it tends to end.

Bollocks to that. Jebbo and Hackford are gonna be the new Deane and Agana! Frankie Maguire is gonna be the next, erm.......John Gannon.

Another kid with a token appearance on the bench before disappearing not to be seen again? In the meantime Burke hasn't touched the ball in 50 minutes
A bit harsh. He's been scoring for the U18s and U23s. I'd be surprised if he isn't involved for our next game.

It's worth baring in mind that McBurnie and Sharp are out injured. Mousse is Mousse so fuck knows what he's doing. So he's probably only getting a chance because the only other striker we have looks out of his depth. I'd expect to see one of the young strikers on the bench for the last 3 games. Doesn't necessarily mean they're ready but bit of game time will help them.

I thought it was a very impressive debut from Jebbison. He lookes lively , was getting into the right positions on the few ocassions that we threated the Palace penalty area, and generally did all the things we expected from Brewster but have yet to see. He is a raw talent , but certainly a big hope fot the future. Without putting to much pressure on the lad , he did remind me of the young Brian Deane.

Based on our selection policy this season we'll never see him again anyway - nothing to worry about

Think that bench slot is probably his now for a while at least until ndiaye is fit. Hackford seems to just be going through a bit of a slump at the minute and jebbison hasn’t done himself any harm.

Glad you mentioned DCL hhaving watched him come through he was given a hard time by a lot of fans who hadnt seen him play as a kid. Very similar attributes to Jabbo .He was bullied by centre backs just needed time to mature which is what Everton did.
We have a young group with bags of potential let's be patient the club staff know when it's time to dip a toe and gradually make there Mark with the first team.
Throwing them in now is not always the right way as I said the coaches will know when they are ready.

? What about our 20 goal a season Academy youngster ?
Outscored your Ndiayes, Brunts, Hackfords, Jebbisons, Ayaris - all struggling in single figures - TWO to ONE
? Shouldn't he be getting mentions ?

I think it’s very unusual to see a target man type striker ready to play the game as a teenager it takes a while to acquire the strength required.
