The initial deal was: £8M for 2x 18-20yo Right Backs, from Championship Level, rising to £10M. How many "decent" right backs do you know worth more than £4M for starters (and Glen Johnson has never been worth £18M before you start).

We aere likely to finish bottom of the league having scored the fewest goals and had the pleasure of being turned over on our own patch a dozen times. We have a manager currently with two wins in half a season and can't cope when the phone rings.. We have a (ex, just for you Rattly) chairman who dropped us quicker than hot snot in the shit and his replacemnet has said absolutely noting of interest since he was parachuted in. We will start next season with about three players we all like. Crowds will have halved in two years whilst debts (by whom, to whom no one has a clue about) have gone through the roof. Playing budgets will be more than halved, but it is not clear if that policy will apply to the chief exec.


All of which seemingly pales into insignificance compared to the debate about Richard Fucking Batho.

Nowt to do with chucking rotten fruit at Batho, all to do with hoping he was a route to actually deal with the real issues.
If he's not because he's frightened to upset his employer or its outside his job description to represent fans views on anything important, that's fine.
Of course, if he actually communicated that, it would save a lot of folk bothering with him in the first place and he can get on with tweeting about the Tunnel Bar and the amount of polyester in the replica kits.

The reason i asked was if you've done all four divisions then this is not the worst crisis in the clubs history. I was not trying to get at anything else.

To be honest i had heard rumours about United being in the shit financially for quite a while, so it didn't really suprise me. The only point i thought where it might not ring true was that it might not happen because of the possible implications on McCabe's property empire, but the rest of it all added up for me.
