Still don't see why it would hurt giving him a game in first team, he's got nothing to lose and were already down. No pressure.
If he was trying to make a case to play first team football today wasn’t his day. He was poor today imo. Flashes of the passing range and ability that he has but as an all round midfield performance it wasn’t great. Wasted a couple of chances which he would have to take at senior level and gave away the ball close to our area a lot which he would be punished for.

That said I thought the team as a whole was pretty sloppy passes were slow and just misplaced a lot of the time. They were still unlucky not to win the game though and it’s probably a bit of a hang over from winning the league and maybe not having quite the same motivation.

Losing 1-0. Have been well on top but do look very sloppy.

Defence is a little poor at times but the forwards and Ayari when they are on point are red hot. Very little back tracking all the way to the goal/CD's compared to that other team.

Im presuming it was quite windy today not great conditions to play football in
Corner flags were being blown all over we seemed to want to put the ball in the air for some reason Swansea didn’t.

I think he was being sarcastic.
I hope so...but now we’re out of the PL the PL clubs can take advantage of the ‘smaller’ clubs such as us. Or is that a function of the Academy level? I really can’t remember how it works...

It's all structured so that the buying team pays a set fee depending on the academy level of the selling club, how long the player has been there and various other things. Although I think that would only apply to a youngster who isn't yet on a professional contract once they turn 17 or 18 (I forget which). You'd like to think our better youngsters such as Brooks, Ayari and Jebbison etc are all on professional contracts already, but this is United we're talking about though. 😆

I've watched all of these that have been streamed, I enjoy watching our U23's. Boyes and Neal have impressed me. I hope a number of these lads go on to have professional careers.

United offer pro deals at 16 which can be signed with parental consent in order to protect against this. We do lose players most years though from the under 16s down.
