I have to agree about Sue Smith - great player but awful pundit, offers nothing opinion wise different except very boring run of mill stuff. Then again, look at that awful panel- Lee Hendrie - shows the dearth of quality pundits and then Merson , usually plays the fool but he does make a very good point about DoF in Prem but not in Championship. I suppose a stopped clock is right twice a day !!You are sooooo wrong
I occasionally tune into Soccer Saturday to watch the live scores that is all. The pundits are just unneccesary noise and if Sue Smith is on I turn off
It's the Blades way it seems. If Van Winkle gets the job let's hope he gets some advice from the Wally with the Brolly on communication with the press. After watching the Blades for over 50 seasons we never do anything the easy way but we still love em.Van Winkle sounds like he is straight from a dutch nursery rhyme, like this whole sorry pantomime.
We never do anything the easy way.
Feeling a bit glum

On that basis Sean Dyche would have been sacked by Burnley 5 years ago. Would that have been a good move as well? Not really, a lot of people I’ve spoken to aren’t surprised. Take a look at the league table for the reason why.
After doing some research, it cant be JVW because he hasn't technically been employed in one of Europe's top five leagues for the last two years, so under Brexit regulations he's ineligible for the jobIt's the Blades way it seems. What happens if I think it’s neither a good idea nor astounding that’s he’s left? You’re forgetting about half a dozen vociferous gobshites on here.
I'm completely with you on this. Purely looking at the results and performances over the last 9 months, I'm astounded that anyone is astounded at the outcome (whatever that is!). It's a harsh, results business. Do I necessarily think it's the right decision for us at this moment? Nope. What happens if I think it’s neither a good idea nor astounding that’s he’s left?
If the prince thought it was a good idea to sack Wilder he would have gone before Christmas.Only the Prince and his hanger on's think it is a good idea to part company with Chris Wilder. Anyone who follows football from Pep Guardiola to the youngest fans are astounded by this decision.
We did when they were blowing bubbles up our arses!Do we really care what a bunch of pundits say they are a tiresome bunch
Are you saying Paul Merson hasn't made the effort to ensure he's got a grasp on the facts and undertaken even the slightest piece of prep-workk before giving his opinion?Despite what has come out since, that dipstick Merson still thinks the club wanted rid of Wilder:

Well he isn't actually is he?Stating the obvious a bit but obviously he's right
Punditry is the easiest job in football everything is based on hindsight.Man waits for the benefit of hindsight to form an opinion.
In other news, I think everyone last Saturday should have chosen the following lottery numbers....
Yes it is a daft metric so makes no difference. Resigned/sacked makes no difference. As he says he'd be the one you'd want to try and go back up so ye we got it horribly wrong and ye Merson is right.Well he isn't actually is he?
We've now got 3 points, which may be after the fact but kind of proves this hindsight lark.
Wilder's points/game return wasn't spectacular and I'd guess Hecky is probably in front now, which shows what a daft metric is it for comparison.
It also totally ignores the fact that we didn't sack him and he wanted to go.
Are having two words containing the word « obvious » in one sentence the same as a double negative?Stating the obvious a bit but obviously he's right
..but you don’t know who will take over so it is too early to judge.Yes it is a daft metric so makes no difference. Resigned/sacked makes no difference. As he says he'd be the one you'd want to try and go back up so ye we got it horribly wrong and ye Merson is right.

I guess Norwich and Wolves fans were negative about the original choice of their current managers
