Buy you a drink SF, if it's just the one then I'll be saving money. I'll get them in on your Bassett day. Still not going to Preston though.

I stopped going this season having been going for as long as i can remember. Football in general ( not just united ) is shocking value for money. Got to say I haven't missed it at all after the 1st couple of games. I hope thousands don't renew, that is the only way I can see the clowns up top finally noticing fans aren't happy.

I dread to think how many we'll get against the likes of Exeter and Yeovil, they're going to need a marketing genius to get the ground even half full for those types of games.

I don't think they need anything to notice fans aren't happy. Those at the top aren't happy themselves.

What i don't like are other people giving it the bigger blade bollocks. Some people require something more from the club in return for their money.

When I go to a restaurant I expect good food, good service and good value - but that's because I'm a consumer. With the Blades I hand my money over because I'm a fan and want to see them win and do well.

Some people don't like being belittled for not renewing.....

And more to that point, prior to Sheffielders post, who had had been belittling anyone for renewing?

I have got my ticket.....I can't decide for anyone else.

Everyone else can make their choice.

So you'll hand over your money regardless of what happens? There has to be a tipping point where you say enough is enough. Some people have reached that tipping point, not because the club has dropped into the 3rd tier, but because they feel the club has been badly managed from the top.

Easy

Your choice don't go!

Fully agree.

Don't however, agree with people getting slagged off for making that choice (which i recognise you didn't do.)

It's easy stuff this.

If you don't like it why bother?

Why post on here?

If you have given up why are you here?

If I thought like some on this forum I would not be here.

If they have no offers next season, they're going to have some crowds around 12,000 unless they're near the top of the league.
Makes you wonder how they're going to pay the electricity bill, never mind young Chedwyn's wages.

If Walsall manage to stay up, at the end of next season we could have a rerun of the 1981 Blades v Walsall relegation decider. That'd bring in a lot more than 12,000!!

It would be my choice.

This forum is not what it used to be.

Should this old Blade just go?

The irony is not that some people are being slated for not buying season tickets ,but many are being slated for buying them.
WABAW ?

Divide and Rule. Get everybody at each other's throats and it keeps the car park nice and quiet.

I've renewed, so add 1 to your totals. I renewed because I can afford it and because I don't work weekends. I renewed because I support Sheffield United. What anyone else does who supports Sheffield United is up to them. I'm not going to slag off anyone who doesn't renew, or who doesn't go. But similarly if you have not got a season ticket for next season please don't slag off those who have.

How many years in the last century have we not been badly run/managed from top to bottom?
If you want glory follow manure.

This, but in reverse.

Fuck me I'm in total agreement with Shorehamview, think I'll need a lie down. If you want to go watch then go, and if not then don't but don't slag either party off for making their choice because that's their right, it's one of the last democratic things we have left here.

Modern football in general is terrible for me, the whole match day experience has been sanitized and just isn't my cup of tea. The standard of football is generally dire and mostly the talking point from each game, certainly the Prem stuff, centres around a con, a cheat, or a bad refereeing decision. It's become well paid pantomime and it bores the tits off me.

Still a True Blade though, whatever that might mean. I'd defend the club to the hilt to an outsider because it's in my blood, that's life I guess but a lot of the magic's gone never to return.

Well no one can slate me. I got mine last week but threw it in the bin as soon as I got home. Sorta still wanted to be a True Blade without the effort of going.

I've not renewed my season ticket, and my sensible side tells me not to, but my heart tells me to do so.

A lot of it is down to my personal circumstances, i can't realistically afford to lay down another £300 to the club at this moment in time as i have got a lot of other stuff to pay for, and due to the demands of my work, i know straight away i'll probably end up missing quite a few games anyway.

In a way, i've started to lose a bit of interest in going to the matches. About 20 years ago i got a paper round, and used to get up at half 5 every morning to trudge round Burncross and the pittance i got for that was used to subsidise me being able to afford my visits to the Lane. I've been there year in, year out ever since, spending money that could have been spent more wisely, spending the time watching United travel the length and the breadth of the country when i could have been doing other things. At the start of the season i travelled up to watch to United at Hartlepool, and it clashed with something my ex had got planned so she had to drop her plans to accomodate mine, and that created the final argument that sounded the death knell for my marriage. This season for me has brought in to question is it worth it spending an excessive amount of time watching the Blades when the cost is far greater than time and money, and the return i got for it is minimal and there isn't the enjoyment there for me any more.

At the least make yourself a member and get a card (£10 I fink), then you are just a phone call away from getting a ticket, and no need to go collect it, it goes on the card.

So you can make the decision fairly late to turn out.

I supose this can also be done online, but not ventured into that just yet.

I've been through this thread from top to bottom, but I can't find a single instance of people slagging off fans for buying a season ticket.

I wonder if McCabe will remember to thank those that have, probably just moan about the NRS

If they've got a single ounce of common sense left, which is doubtful, they'll be sending Blades Cards out free to every lapsed season ticket holder from at least the last two seasons.
