Wonder when he's going to come forward and face the music ?

I can't see how he's going to avoid saying something once the inevitable is confirmed and given his previous 'look where we were when I took over' stance, and how he usually tries to put forward the 'other' side of the story, his comments will be interesting to say the least. It's clear he wants out but given the lack of a takeover which is surely less likely now, what is he and his trusty sidekick going to come up with ?

My money's on the economy over the last 2 years as the major reason for our decline, no luck and injuries. He may throw Speed in there as a disruption as well but I can't see him taking any personal blame.

I can guarentee he didnt leave before the end of the game. He was however storming around the boardroom like a cat with a sore head. Surely making a right fuck up of your business loses a businessman a teeny bit of credibility. Failing to acknowledge a mistake (or an absolute plethora of them?!) doesn't make you appear a good businessman, it's what leads to failure the likes of which we're enduring now.

As for what he'll come out with, how's about "I assure you, we will not go down"? Oh wait, we've already had that one. No wait, maybe "the same mistakes regarding loan signings will not be made again"...

That on always pisses me off. How many time has the "deal lined up but scuppered by the agent" line been wheeled out? The footballing world would probably be a better place without parasitic agents, but they are involved. If McCabe doesn't like the fact why the hell did he get involved with a football club in the first place?
