He was a favourite of mine and has fell of a cliff form wise for a long time now, perhaps too long to ever be good enough for us again? not due to a lack of effort though, unlike that wanker who lummoxes around in the middle of the park.

stevens yes osborn no
Osborn has one year of his contract left, if we renew his contract he will be expected to play as a regular.
Is he good enough and potentially better than RND?
Does he have sufficient creativity or physical prowess in the middle of the park?

No, he doesn’t.

Probably needs a mental and physical rest.

I'm struggling to remember a player of ours look so impressive for a couple of seasons and then for no apparent reason, have such a drop off.

Maybe JOC had more influence on him than we realise.
That left hand side of Enda, O’Connell and Fleck was like clockwork. A Rolex. Remove the hour and minute hands and you’re left with a solitary second hand, ticking away but never really accomplishing anything.

Very poetic! Like it!

I went for a bird with a broken wing, but this is far more detailed 😉

we can speculate as much as we want on here about who will stay and who will go but with a new manager with new ideas coming in anybody could go

What short memories we have.

I can remember when he was decent at playing football. I can also remember us giving him a big new contract and then mysteriously his "form fell off a cliff" but to be fair, he was really good in league one, statue in car park time?

Think you'd find it more difficult to stick a knife in the back of a statue.

He didn't play for us in League 1 though. He came from Pompey who were in League 2.

I’ve said it before and I will say it again, since Lockdown he plays like someone who used to be on performance enhancing drugs and has come off them. And he’s not the only one.

I know this hasn’t happened, because the players are tested for such things, but it does smack of a failure of conditioning and deficiencies in the training regimen.

The rush of playing in front of rowdy Blades fans is probably the equivalent of taking performance enhancing drugs, hence why we've seen a drop off in performances from all the players, some more so than others. But there's not a single one of them that's hit the same heights as pre-lockdown
