Blades totally dominate Weeds.
1st min shot blocked and poss pen for Quinn.
They had one chance in 1st half that gradel should have scored from but he headed wide
Nossy looked slightly nervous against Gradel for ten mins culminating in a very strange yard high diving header back to Simmo then after that nossy had him in his back pocket for rest of game and played really well.
Simmo as far as i can remember did not have a save to make in the 1st half.
Blades had perhaps 6 or 8 shots on target in 1st half and loads of crosses and pressure.
All players contributing and back 4 looked so solid.
About 10 mins in to 2nd half Blades got the reward their dominance deserverd.
Great ball from Monty to Quinn who's cross was put into his own net by Lichaj.
Not Luck but pressure that caused the own goal with Vokes and evans waiting to pounce should the ball carry.
Blades continued to produce good posession football drawing lots of fouls by weeds players.
On 73mis got rewarded again when sub Riise showed that touch of class he has and scored from a close but wide angle.
Weeds were getting continually frustrated by the speed of close down and resulted to pumping high balls to get back in to the game.
on about 88 mins their days missery was complete when they had Paynter sent off for what we think was a stamp on Lowry.
Although as the season has gone on we have got used to Blades giving games away, This was by far the best performance i have seen from us and the most composed.
All Blades players played well and it would be hard to single players out in such a composed game. So instead i'll double Monty and Quinny much to the discust no doubt of their detractors.
Crowd was brill and it was the best atmosphere all season.
If they could play to that level consistantly till the end of the season we'd stay up.
