Very sad news
RIP Steve and condolences to the Jagielka family

Dreadful news indeed. RIP lad. Any ideas what happened? 43 is no age.

Just awful, I’d love Phil to somehow find the strength to play at the weekend as that would be a fitting tribute to Steve.

Deeply saddened to hear this news. Thoughts with the family and friends. Gone to soon. Was he ill ?

Awful news. Such a young age and it seems so sudden, from the reports. Certainly puts things into perspective. My thoughts are with the Jagielka family.

I'm guessing it may have been by his own hands if there's such silence about how it happened. Absolutely baffling why they wouldn't say otherwise.

That was my first thought too but it is probably best not to speculate

Maybe the family believe anyone outside the family/friends don't need to know or they don't know how either yet.

RIP Steve, younger than me. So very sad. Thoughts with Phil and the family x

i know what’s happened as its common knowledge. However as there's no statement and out of respect as i guess they want to keep it private, I won’t say what’s happened on this forum. Its not right. Just go back to local news a week or so and put 2 and 2 together
