Surely there has to be at least a couple of subs at half time?
Apart from Ramsdale and Didsy, name a player you'd keep ON?
We've got to change formation. Chelsea playing exactly like Leicester, 2 wingbacks playing wide and high, it just kills our 3 5 2

How many of our players are genuine premier league quality? Thats the real problem, weve gone into World War 3 with bows and arrows and a couple of spears

Not many, but that’s understandable given that we were in League 1 four seasons ago. The only ones who were bought with the intention of them being first team premier league players are Ramsdale, McBurnie, Berge and Brewster (possibly Mousset).

My biggest gripe is we are thoroughly abject with the ball as we have been for 12+ months.

With exception of Didzy, not one player looks comfortable with the ball at their feet.

Without exception, not one player has the ability to take on a man.

Without exception, not one player can pick a pass in the final third.

Under ANY pressure, we lose possession.
ANY time we try and play it forward, we lose the ball.
Try to take on ANY player, we lose the ball.

This makes us a horrible team to watch, defend deep, lose possession, repeat.

Decent job in containing them but to describe the goal and that suicide pass as schoolboy errors is an insult to schoolboys. Still in it though. Come on you salmon pink and black wizards!

IMG_20210321_141757.jpgA perfect example of why we aren't creating chances or scoring goals. Looking at that image you'd expect Lunny and most midfielders at any level to pick that up and head towards goal. Doing that would drag a CB out and he's got two teammates ahead of him. Guess what happened?

What are trying to say?

We look really poor, as individual players.

Lunny should have been out for their goal and has given it away a few times.
Norwood with an idiotic blind pass to Pulisic
Fleck has been in good positions but not put the ball in.
We're nowhere near brave enough and so slow
What's annoying me the most is that they give and go and we just stand there. Never on our toes. Never anticipating.
Didzy has been awful. McBurnie looks like he belongs nowhere near this level

The only positive is the shape we're generally keeping. pressing around the player. The high press is too slow but we need to keep at it.

Didzy hasnt look comfortable with the ball at his feet so far. He has been poor, not holding ball up and giving it away. He is better than that

There were probably 8 or 10 similar examples in that first half (Fleck refusing to play forward to Osborn being a particular regular). Last season’s team would be so much more positive in those scenarios. Confidence.

Geordie thats an indictment of Wilders transfer policy as weve spent 120m. Problem is too much of it's gone on players who aren't premier league standard. We needed more first 11 players and less back up.

I d like to see how we conceded the corner because I thought ramsdale could have held it rather than parry it. I maybe wrong and not looking to make him a scapegoat but I do think one of reasons our defence is poor because they have little confidence in him.

I think that’s what Sheffield United need to do , get the ball in the box ....no shit, Sherlock ! Got to love the commentary

Fleck and a few others won't cross, Norwood isnt switching the ball anymore either.
Another example was the over hit cross after a shit corner from Fleck. Mcgoldrick picks it up with plenty of time to put it ball into the box with a number of our players ready to attack. Instead he passes back to Baldock 25 yards out, who could have crossed it as well, but he hesitates and it ends up back with Ramsdale within 3 passes.
It's been like it all season. I'm not sure if it's confidence or how they've been asked to play this season and its now become second nature.
