Hecky or Weir?

So, Hecky has the reins for the final 10 games (including the last one at Leicester)

Will Hecky get more points in 10 games than David Weir collected?

He made a good start to his first managerial appointment with a 2-1 win over Notts County in the first match of the Football League season
However, the Blades were unable to build on that opening win and the only other victory Weir was to pick up in his 13-game reign as boss was a penalty shoot-out success over Scunthorpe in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy

Saudi Arabian Prince Abdullah bin Mosaad bin Abdulaziz Al Saud purchased a 50% stake in the club at the end of August 2013 and his new investment allowed Weir to bring in midfielder Florent Cuvelier and strikers Harry Bunn, Jose Baxter and Marlon King .

The new signings could not bring about a change in fortunes and, despite Weir encouraging a passing brand of football, the Blades were the joint lowest scorers in the Football League with just six goals from 10 games.

When we had David Weir as manager it‘s the most concerned ive ever been about anyone on the SUFC payroll.

He promised us great football...keep possession and pass the opposition to death.
He was true to us word....we played it out of defence...no long ball’s....everything played short to feet.

We started playing some nice football, did he win his first match...home to Notts County....or was it someone else?
After that game we were always a bit unlucky and started losing, but the future still looked promising.
In the post match interviews Weir was honest....saying we played well but got caught out.

The next match....another defeat....played some nice stuff around the centre circle.
Weir said it’ll take time but we must stay patient. He still had the fans on side,

It was the same again abs again....nice passing in the centre circle but all our build ups were too slow.
Also we played it out of defence (like a poor man’s Man City) but our defenders would occasionally make a blunder and give a goal away.

His final post match interviews were painful to watch,
He was making sure we stick to his principles of good football but we were losing every match.
I thought the guy was close to breaking down in tears.......relatively speaking I don‘t think he received much hassle from our fans.

Be fair to poor DW - you're forgetting his second- and third-finest hours, two scintillating 1-1 home draws v the mighty Colchester and the possibly even mightier Crawley Town. So we got 5 league points under his tenure.

If memory serves, we then flogged the best (only) midfielder at the club, a certain Kevin McDonald. It quickly went downhill after that
