Manager Suggestion after Wilder Walks

All sounds very plausable. especially the final point! :-) I very much doubt Celtic will be able to afford Dyche though - he's on fortunes at Burnley!
 
Well if Wilder does go you can guarantee that somewhere on the betting odds will be the name A Curbishley.....linked with every single job since 2008....

I've said on another thread I can see PA wanting a "name" if CW leaves.

I can't make up my mind about Lampard TBH. He did relatively well at Derby although had Harry Wilson and Mason Mount on loan and he did really IMO in his 1st season at Chelsea in the circumstances.

Obviously he spent a fortune in the summer and didn't get them all to gel quick enough for old Roman's liking so the writing was on the wall.

Looking at what Tuchel has done since arriving you can't really question the change but is the turnaround due to fact FF just isn't very good or that Tuchel just is very good?

I think the next job he gets will show us if he has what it takes to be a good manager or whether he's just another exceptional ex player who got a few jobs based on his playing career but in the end just wasn't cut out for management. Yes Roy Keane I'm meaning you!

Not sure I'd like us to be that experiment with how crucial next season is for our future.

I also thin FF would be ahead of CW for any bottom half PL jobs that come up still even after getting the bullet at Chelski.

Yeah agreed, wouldn't be salivating at the appointment, but I think he did fine at Derby, and Chelsea who knows.

As I said, he may have better offers, but he wouldn't be the worst linked with us in this hypothetical world.
 
(Im 100% wilder) I feel prince would replace him with someone who Van Winckle advises him on. Wouldnt be surprised if it was this chap , seems to have had a similar career path to van wincks.

I could see JVW getting a chance unless he didn't want it and preferred the DOF role.

I can truly understand why some Blades don't want him but realistically who would be available domestically that you could say yeah they'd be a great appointment?

At the end of the day he's got his UEFA Pro licence, was Bielsa's assistant for several years at a big club and has held technical director roles in various countries. Similar to the comment above there'd be far worse candidates.

Cooper for me aswell. He’s worked on a shoe string plays good football and has a track record for developing youngsters as well as like you say getting the best from Brewster.

Don’t think we’d prise potter out of Brighton unless he’s sacked as they’re better equipped to bounce back than us.

Probably just wishful thinking to be honest as I don't think they'll go down - massively underperforming at the minute and don't seem to be having their fair share of luck either!

Cooper is the next potter imo.
 
Eddie Howe can fuck off. A dull middle-englander with the face of a posh child cannot be a good match for this club, it screams Nigel Adkins mkII.

Plus the mincing showpony display of playacting, diving and general cunting about we saw from Bournemouth last season isn't something I'd fancy watching at the Lane.

To me he's the one who's most suited out of all the linked names. Experience of being 'head coach' got promotion from the championship, kept a much smaller club in Bournemouth in the division for 5 seasons playing some good football on the whole. Plus he's out of work atm which I think might be a big factor.

Went to Burnley to try and make the step up at the time and failed miserably so trudged back down south to spend a fortune at Muff.

Not for me.
