I wonder if any of bedwetter tendency might fess up to writing him off unfairly?

I won't be holding my breath.
I generally don’t mind Blades having a go at a player like Lundstram when they play shit as he just doesn’t appear to give a toss and anyway he’s on his way out hopefully. Whereas having a pop at a young keeper who is quite literally the base of our re-build for the next few seasons is way off the mark. You could see the confidence draining out of him over this season. He was making the mistakes that very good keepers often make at the start of their careers. But the last half a dozen games or so should give the lad some confidence that if he trusts his ability and develops the skills needed to be a top keeper he could be an absolute hero at the Lane. Keep up the good work Rammers.

I was his biggest critic but he's starting to win me over

Well done again Rammers.

Although I'd have to criticise him for not being the one that played the ball out to Baldock and then ran into the box to get on the end of it. Henderson would have done that.
He wouldn't have

Deserves full credit.....started the season looking dodgy..reminded me a little of Steve Simmenson pulling off some great shot stopping saves
but not commending his area with occasional miseries making the defense nervous.

but in recent games he now looks the part....excellent keeping....he’s now forging an understanding with his defense.
It was a test of character for such a young keeper and he’s passed the test. Well done.

He's needed to start commanding his box much more and coming for catches so that the defence started getting more confidence in him. For a large part of this season he was glued to his line scared to come off it, like the goal down at Chelsea when he should have come for the ball, caught it and taken out anyone in his way. The fact he struggled to command his area was largely down to a lack of confidence I thought. Now he's started doing that he's starting to look like a very good young keeper.

He's always had the ability, but confidence (or lack of it) does strange things. Hopefully he will be our number 1 for many years yet. Well done lad.

Did something happen to him NYE? Been so much better this calendar year and continually improving. Made up for him as he seems a nice lad.

The instinctive side of his game was never in question - probably one of the best shot stoppers I've seen, certainly a match for Henderson in that regard IMO - it was the stuff when he had a moment to think about it that was the issue. Seems like he's backing his judgment now and we're seeing the best of him.

Stuck up for him, stuck up for him and stuck up for him some more out of belief in his ability, not blind faith he’d turn good. You don’t get a PL teams POTY if you’re not pretty good.

He’ll be the best keeper in the Championship next season. And that was the difference between promotion and not last time.

Congrats to ramsdale on him starting to show everyone the player he is but also a massive pat on the back for Darren ward and then the wider management team they’ve worked him through that rough patch and hopefully we’ll now reap the rewards.

Agreed. I think he has flaws that'll hold him back from being one of the best 'keepers in the country, but he'll make a pretty f**king good one. His future is very much as a relatively high-end Premier League keeper (I'm imagining Ben Foster levels) and if we're able to keep him for the duration of his career, it'd suggest we've established ourselves in the top league for the long-term.

People have forgotten he’s 22 years old ffs. 1 PL season to his name, and only just 100 adult games.
I think he does have flaws, he sometimes comes for balls he’s never going to get, has a tendency to punch rather than catch, his decision making can be a bit off and he doesn’t seem to dive early enough sometimes but these are all things I’d expect from a 22 year old. He’s literally a baby.

Keepers don’t mature until they’re 26+ and even then the best in the world cock up (Deano made a bigger cock up at the Lane than Rams
