They are a bunch of talentless, over the hill, slow, overpaid, poor wankers ..... but you know what? I still believe that we can beat the drop! I still believe in the Red and White wizards and think that if Micky keeps plugging away, the passion stays, we get a bit of luck and things click then we can stay up.

Don't get me wrong. We've been fucking awful of late. Adams has had a disasterous start and I am far from convinced. However I am behind the team and think they can do it.

A defence of Parrino, Collins, Lowry and Jordan (with Nos to come back) is decent enough and a midfield of Riise, Doyle, Willo and Quinn (with Yeates keeping them on their toes) has the right balance of creativty and workman-ness. Ched has been playing well and Boggy must start. They will be kept on the toes with Bent and Vokes looking for games.

We have 3 VERY winnable games and they will make or break us. Are we up to it? We'll see. But I believe we can do it. Maybe it is my red and white specs or I am just totally deluded, but I really think that we can get that 4th from bottom slot!!?

Micky will somehow stumble across the right blend. Point tomorrow, win at Scunthorpe (which I have as a formality but worried now!!!!) and great chance against Derby to pull us sens into the pack and hopefully a couple of points at least above drop zone

Do I think Micky will do owt next season - not at all but we'll worry about that later. Essential that we stay a tier above wendy and that we have a few big name visitors to look forward to in second tier.

Their home record against their away record has a ridiculous contrast.
2 home victories from I think about 15 games is nearly as bad as us.

They may also have won 4-0 against us, but nobody at that game could seriously suggest that had we won the game, Scunthorpe wouldn't have felt hard done by (and yes I realise how stupid it sounds)

Edit: I just remembered they had a good 3rd home victory on Wednesday too

Of course he did, not to mention that they beat Forest midweek. It gives Mic a stick to beat the club/ manager with if we don't win, because he predicted it and it didn't happen.

Personally I see us getting a draw at both Palace and Scunny. With the Scunny game only a couple of days after the Palace 6 Pointer (which I think we'll work very hard in to pick up a point) then I can see fatigue and the odd knock or two meaning that we'll not be on top form at Scunny. But Scunny will also have an interesting fixture v Derby.

Lets face it, we have a lot of strikers now, but very little in the way of supply. Riise should give us an extra dimension, Vokes can provide another big option, but we need Yeates, Quinn and Williamson to also be on form.

Whatever way you look, its two tough games.

I do however, think we'll take all 3 points v Derby, I bet they won't be as respectful as Donny were when Billy was on loan there! Wardy will play.

Surely Ward is (technically)on loan from us, as the deal took place out of the transfer window, therefore we can insist he doesnt play. (Personally I'd insist that he did play because I think he's a useless waste of space, but hey...no doubt he'll be injured)

Well Lenners me owd spadge, I have been called many things on here but never a clapper. Imagine poor old Dunc's face if you said Ollessendro was one of his brothers. If I was looking for miracles then I would dig out my adio cassette single of Miareh Carey and Whitney Houston. Fortunately I am only asking my shit team to be slightly less shit than another couple of shit teams. Maybe it will be too bigger ask, but I hardly a miracle.

I do sympathise with you (one wind up merchant to another) at the moment though Leonard. With all the negativity and pessimism at the moment I can see that it is increasingly difficult to get an angle and wind people up. Even Trig has taken a break from shooting your posts down as most seem to be agreeing with you these days. I'd even hazard a guess that you'd want us to win a few games so that you could say I told you all along that we would go down (if we do).
