Well a wins a win and to win ugly is a good sign.
Let's face it tonight was not a performance to remember, but we got the job done, had a clean sheet and are in the hat for the quarter final.
We beat manure at Old Trafford and narrowly lost out to top 4 PL teams - it's the FA cup anything can happen...!

Draw tomorrow at c7.45pm I think

1 AFC Bournemouth
2 Manchester United
3 Sheffield United
4 Wolverhampton Wanderers or Southampton
5 Barnsley or Chelsea
6 Everton or Tottenham Hotspur
7 Manchester City
8 Leicester City

We're more than capable of losing to any of those teams!

At this stage, I think the most sensible thing to say is "anybody at home"
...or is it ??

We win the FA Cup. Great.

Next season we are in the Europa League, League Cup and FA Cup, as well as the league. Not so great.

Preference has to be #1 @ home.

Then#4 @ home.

This to me is the reason why the cup is a pointless exercise.

6 of the 8 are top half prem, with 5 being arguably top 6. All those rounds to probably end up with another top 6 winner to me seems a waste of time for every other team in the country.

We are in the quarter finals in successive seasons. The previous times we have done this are:

1898-9 to 1901-2 inclusive (won cup in 1899, lost QF in 1900, reached final in 1901, won cup in 1902)
1913-14 and 1914-15 (semi final in 1914, won cup in 1915)
1958-9 to 1961-2 inclusive (reached semi in 1961, lost other 3 QFs)
2002-2 and 2003-4 (reached semi in 2003, lost QF in 2004)

In the 1959-62 run we were drawn at home 3 times. We lost all those ties, to Norwich (after a replay) Wednesday and Burnley. We won the only time we were drawn away, 3-1 at Newcastle.

we should have beaten wednesday and burnley

I really can't see Barnsley beating Chelsea, so I'll go for Bournemouth at home. After Man City, Leicester are the ones I'd want the least.

That sounds fucking brilliant to me! (Assuming we can travel abroad). How's that not so good?

Shittest team left in at home for the QF please. I still hold hope that the final could have a few fans in, so getting there would mean something half decent could come out of this abomination of a year.
