Chucking strikers on for defenders/midfielders

A really bad habit that Wilder has. It seems like a really inexperienced tactic, something you'd do on FIFA or something. It's usually not just one striker either. Multiple strikers on at the expense of important positions with a decent chunk of the game left.

We've tried it loads and it doesn't work. This has been shown to be the case time and time again.

Chasing the game and being dominated in midfield? Take some defenders off and just throw strikers on, surely that will get us goals right?

Nah, it just hands them more control in midfield

It worked a lot for Colin all those years ago.
 
To be fair we could hardly bring a middie on cus other then Osborne we didn’t have one and bringing on a defender for a defender wouldn’t have made any difference

Most managers in a similar position opt for the same thing.

If he didn’t do something like that there would be many on here complaining that he wasn’t changing it up enough and that he was just trying the same thing.
