That's the weirdest thing I've ever heard.
Whilst saving on corp tax - he's paying out additional NI.
Perhaps he has "Bielsa Ltd" and his coaches are his contractors?

I agree Poker, mate, 100%. These "bumps in the road' weve experienced this season was bound to happen at some point such was how far wed come in such a very short space of time under CWAK after 6 long hard seasons where we saw manager after manager fail, some miserably.. Imo CWAK get at least this season and next, at least. CWAK, and Wilder in particular, have rarely failed as manager, his record speaks for itself. The other big 'clincher' in total support for CW is his genuine love for the club. He'd never put the club in danger and wants only the best for it. Whilst he's there, SUFC will always remain 'our club', thanks to 'one of our' guiding and looking out for it. A proven, brilliant manager managing the club he support's and loves. What more would a fan want?I guess I just have a lot more faith in the idea of long-term stability and planning, and the quality of Wilder as a manager, than I do in the idea that you have to sack a manager every time you get in a bad position. Or in the list of managers who would come to us.
I've seen the football that Wilder wants to play and is capable of providing. All sorts of things have gone badly this season and it's admittedly very hard to make excuses for. Still, this has been a bizarre season for football and, as bad as we've been, it's amazing to me we've done quite so badly.
I know this runs against all of modern footballing procedure, but sticking with the plan even in tough times is something that has been known to work in other areas of life.
It sounds like something a Leeds fan would say to justify a stupid salary to me. I’m sure that the information in that article is bollocks but if Bielsa is even on double Wilders’ salary he’s stealing a living. Not allowed for players, not 100% sure for managers/coaches. Seems unlikely anyway as on a normal basis he’s paying them out of already taxed money.
Yes. On his new terms, he’s been put on a contract competitive enough to fight off any interest from the top 6-8 teams which was our aim at the time of his renewal. Strong rumours have been that he is paid extremely well now in comparison to our level competitors, he was offered improved terms to fight off that interest. Why would he sign such a long deal if not?10th best paid manager in the prem ,are you sure about that ?
Rooneys first ever job for a team in huge financial trouble fighting against relegation. Rooney will see this as a good opportunity to gain experience he won’t be doing this for the money.Well, I'd be interested in what some of the Championship managers like Farke is on given their wage bill is larger than ours, even now and Rooney's deal would be interesting. Where's are you getting 10th best paid in the PL from? I'd be interested in that link.
That said, it isn't actually relevant to the point. It doesn't have to be wage rise, as you said it's been renegotiated each year, so it could be a year extension on the same terms.
Of course what it does give us is a clear message that he's here for the long term regardless of relegation, which is always an important message to the players, it's a statement of intent that we're still progressing along our path and on target with our goals, and also stops other clubs with deeper pockets looking to maybe stir the pot a little bit and make him an offer. Most importantly it shows the board are truly behind him, and at no real potential cost because if they aren't going to sack him for the run we've been on, they aren't going to sack him during the length of the deal.
I think that the link provided is about as useful as that website that values players. Warnock was on £500k a year when we were last in the PL. Wilder will be on more than £672k.Millhousesblade1889 Do you have anything to support your view on his wage being in the top 10, as it appears to be nonsense?
Someone has already put a link from September (about 9 months after he signed his new deal), and it puts him where most would expect, rock bottom by a decent margin. Not exactly a solid source but certainly more solid than anything I’ve seen supporting your assumption.
So can you provide any link or anything to substantiate your strong rumours claim because I’ve heard nothing of the sort?
I said it wasn’t a solid source however I’ve neither seen nor heard anything close to something that would put him in the top 10 PL earners. I mean that would be incredible given our wage bill and our financial restraints, so unless there’s something out their I’m calling horseshit.I think that the link provided is about as useful as that website that values players. Warnock was on £500k a year when we were last in the PL. Wilder will be on more than £672k.
I think the important thing is that if/when he leaves that our next manager isn't a panic option. That's been a big part of my worry about sacking him and going for a quick-fix hope with the likes of Allardyce. Whoever we bring in ought to be of a similar philosophy in terms of the style of football and type of player they would utilise. Managers change sometimes, players change constantly, but the philosophy and direction of the club ought to be a long term plan. The type of manager who would walk in, look at the squad, look at the youth system, and say "Yep, I can work with that". Not saying him in particular, but someone like Bilic who's just left West Brom that would want to come in and work on what we have, no "take a sledgehammer to it", as Wilder would say. A manager like Allardyce would want to make huge changes to the personnel and how we play.Everything seems to be on Wilder's terms, which is fine if he stays and we get promoted back next season or the season after. But what happens, if it's a relative struggle next season and we get to January mid table or slightly higher, and an approach comes from a PL club, struggling for points (Southampton, Brighton, Bournemouth, etc.)? I think there is every chance Wilder could go. A manager's career is unpredictable and very few can refuse a better opportunity, when it comes along and I doubt he could either, which I wouldn't blame him for at all.
I think we need to exercise some caution, when discussing contracts and five year plans. He is quite rightly ambitious and given the choice, he would like to be successful here, but if not there's always a plan B. Unlike some of our fans this season, Wilder realises the club and him are separate entities with different identities. At the moment there is apparent harmony but that won't last forever. Much as I like the idea of a Ferguson or Wenger type dynasty created by 10 years plus of Wilder, I just can't see him staying that long.
If he were to walk, of his own volition, that could really harm us. The Prince and board (and fans) have been very loyal and trusting this season, despite the abject performances and results, but that doesn't translate to Wilder reciprocating that approach.
Love these thread bumps ...Wilder is our man ....
I'm pretty sure lall long standing match attending blades agree .!
We have a passionate former player ,big supporter and a knowledgeable football lad leading our club
Them fuckers across the city can only dream of this scenario....
Believe me they would be dancing in the streets if wilder left ...is that what you want ???
I agree with you that he’s nowhere near the top 10. I just think that list shared earlier is about as true as Jack and the Beanstalk.I said it wasn’t a solid source however I’ve neither seen nor heard anything close to something that would put him in the top 10 PL earners. Do a quick search and you’ll see plenty of lists all highly unlikely to be accurate but not one has Chris in the top 10, so this is a world exclusive.

Absolutely no chance does he sign a 4 year deal as the lowest paid Premiership manager (by far if that article is accurate as you seem to think) at a time he was heavily linked with top jobs and every pundit touting him for a big job. That article is load of rubbish.I think what he meant was that he’s on a tenth of the salary of the seventh best paid manager in the Prem.

Easy mistake to make.
im with you on this one i just cant see us not being in the top 6 next season if we keep the bulk of this squad together and like you fancy us to be in the top 2 ok 2 or 3 will probably go but 3 or 4 will come in anyway the championship is a poor league as norwich are showing usI agree Poker, mate, 100%. If worse case scenario happens and we do get relegated and end up finishing bottom of the Championship the following season. Wilder leaves and he does so leaving us in a better position than where we were when he arrived.
P.S. thats NOT what i think will happen. If we are in the Championship next season, provided we can keep hold of certain players, i more than confident of a top 6 finish (i think top 2 really but dont want to sound arrogant... fuck it .) so an instant return should be realistic really.
But those magic beans though.........
Don’t. I’d shorted them and went long on cows to market and those bastards at Reddit ended up costing me a fortune.
But we should believe your opinion is credible?Absolutely no chance does he sign a 4 year deal as the lowest paid Premiership manager (by far if that article is accurate as you seem to think) at a time he was heavily linked with top jobs and every pundit touting him for a big job. McCabe cornered the silver market then posted on Reddit. The hoardings on Shoreham Street prove it.
If only you'd actually got the bovines to market and sold them, instead of pissing about on here posting shite about non-existent accounts....
Don’t you start with me. Despite being on the board, you are merely my sisters husband who used to sell carpets in the souk. I am a Prince and will tell father.
Where to start, sigh....
Weer's fookin possessive apostrophe for the 'sisters'?
Castle Souk or Sheaf Souk?
Prince? There's nowt wrong with a lad off the Park Hill wanting to get on in life, but bugger me, Saudi royalty?
You need to get out more...
Er.....
We’ve won the last 2 out of 3 premier league games which is great. After not winning a game in 19, no he doesn’t deserve a new deal right now. He deserved to keep his job during this bad time, but you can’t just reward him with a new contract every time we win a few. He deserved it at the time he got it.But we should believe your opinion is credible?
Anyway let’s not get wrapped around the axel, if he was one of the lowest 2-3 paid managers in the Premier league and not one of the top 2-3 in the Championship, do you think he deserves a new deal to put him level with those types of managers?
Yeah, you seem to have failed to answer the question. Do you think he deserves pay parity with the lowest 2 or 3 paid managers in the league and/or the top 2 or 3 in the championship? It’s a yes or no answer. We’ve won the last 2 out of 3 premier league games which is great. After not winning a game in 19, no he doesn’t deserve a new deal right now. No 100% not. He deserves to be the highest paid championship (should we be there) and he deserves to be mid premiership based on what he’s achieved for us. Which i’d heard he was on following Bettis’s interview post new deal, apologies if that’s incorrect info though. I’m not in the know.Yeah, you seem to have failed to answer the question.
