Who would we turn to from any era, to save the Blades from relegation? For me, as his cousin, it's obviously the tenacious Trevor Hockey. Boy could we do with his presence and fire today. Who would you pick from history or present day if funds weren't an issue?

I think Browny would do. If we were to suddenly transfer a best team in to bet on survival, I think him in Norwood's shirt in a 4-2-3-1 with Deano or Edwards up top Currie, Whitehouse and Woodward in the mix and Some other golden years defenders and Hendo in the net might scrape us into 17th.

Former Blades - Beattie Mk1
Non Blades - John Fashanu

Tough choice between Deane and Edwards, i loved them both.

Strikes me as a great shame that the latter is driving lorries for a living, and someone who isn't fit to lace his boots is crashing sports cars and eating shite. Such is modern football.............

Imagine Moussett joining the Blades as a Junior and the manager saying 'Lys, this is Brian Deane, your mentor', and the amount of savage backside kicking the spoiled entitled little fucker would get from the big lad during his first brutal three months at BDTBL?

He wouldn't be eating kebabs in the Copthorne every night and smashing his Lambo up, that is for sure.

Well, punch for punch, most of those sit-up-and-bury-em headers McB has has would have been rippling the net with Deano and that fuck up at WBA Moussett skied would have been buried

Thats the frustration for me with McB. I like his workrate, I like how he chases defenders down and he does put himself about a bit. But he's about as reliable in the air as a 737 Max...............

I know where you are coming from he was great and a real battler but he would not last five mins with todays refs and all the actors like Grealish about.

With that team we would be right there at the top .

I am sure he could do a job for us coaching our forwards . He did know how to put the ball away.
